If you need any help just let me know -- and don't forget to tell us about yourself and be BOLD!

I noticed all the work you have done on Derek Benz, J.S. Lewis and their new series of books. Thanks for adding to Wikipedia.

One comment -- since those authors have not been widely published, these articles will likely be questioned by some editor on the basis of "notability" at some point. In anticipation of this, I suggest you take a look at the article Wikipedia:Notability for an idea of what the standards are in this area. You may want to bolster your articles with references to support their notability; that or remove them temporarily until the books have gotten more publicity.

Also, if you are one of the authors or are connected with the publisher, you should refer to Wikipedia:Autobiography and Wikipedia:Vanity guidelines; Wikipedia has specific guidelines covering people writing about themselves or their company's products.

In any event, welcome to Wikipedia!

Thanks edit

I appreciate the comments, A.B. I am new to this Wikipedia thing, but love it. I could get lost for days in all the amazing things in this website. It's really refreshing to see people with such passion about something they care about.

The good news is that I am not one of the authors, nor do I work in the publishing industry. I also really appreciate the links and references that you provided (i.e. notability, etc.). I'm pretty comfortable with the posts, as I know their book sold over 200,000 copies in the Spring semester of the Scholastic Book Fairs alone (not including any retail reports, etc.). They've also begun a national promotional tour that has included multiple newspaper articles and television appearances. Is that the kind of references you were talking about? Hmmm... I'll have to track down the dates.

Thanks, again.

To answer your question, yes -- you need to prove your case. 200,000 is a good starting point if you have a reference you can site.--A. B. 04:34, 11 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
One other suggestion -- add some categories to each article. I think the new user tutorial explains how to do this. Good night, --A. B. 04:56, 11 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Harley Eisenstein edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Harley Eisenstein, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? -- Atamachat 22:16, 20 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
