June 2019

Hello, I'm NorthBySouthBaranof. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Project Veritas is not a reliable source for any purpose. Please review Wikipedia policy and guidelines for reliable sourcing. NorthBySouthBaranof (talk) 15:31, 27 June 2019 (UTC)

Edit warring

Please read WP:BRD. Project Veritas doesn't meet WP:RS, and the burden is on you to gain consensus for contested changes to articles. You should attempt to do this on the articles' talk pages. Grayfell (talk) 00:29, 28 June 2019 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of For They Know Not What They Do

Hello, Splinemath,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Nsk92 and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I’ve proposed an article that you started, For They Know Not What They Do, for deletion because it meets one of the relevant criterion. The particular issue can be located in the notice, that is now-visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to prevent the deletion:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click Publish Changes button.

But, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the raised issues. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Nsk92}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Flutter

You put the advert tag on the Flutter article. What specifically reads like an advert to you? It seems like a pretty standard technical description to me. Gman83 (talk) 20:29, 7 November 2019 (UTC)

ArbCom 2019 election voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:24, 19 November 2019 (UTC)

Your contributed article, History of science and technology in France

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, History of science and technology in France. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Category:Science and technology in France. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Category:Science and technology in France. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at [[Talk:Category:Science and technology in France|the article's talk page]].

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. PamD 06:45, 4 December 2019 (UTC)

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Adivasi, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sri Lankan (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).

Nomination of GNU Taler for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article GNU Taler is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/GNU Taler until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Largoplazo (talk) 02:41, 21 December 2019 (UTC)

Discretionary Sanctions Alert

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in (a) GamerGate, (b) any gender-related dispute or controversy, (c) people associated with (a) or (b), all broadly construed. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

A7 speedies

Hello Splinemath -- I've declined several of your A7 speedy tags as entirely inappropriate and would request that you stop placing this tag until you have carefully reviewed the rules on how it is applicable; see WP:A7. Espresso Addict (talk) 03:09, 6 January 2020 (UTC)

Thank you for your input. I will stop.-Splinemath (talk) 03:11, 6 January 2020 (UTC)
Additionally,   Self-trout -Splinemath (talk) 03:20, 6 January 2020 (UTC)
I have yet to check all your deletion requests, but your proposed deletions of Erinayo Wilson Oryema & Robert Stott with the rationale "not notable" are also clearly entirely inappropriate. Please stop, this behaviour is disruptive. Espresso Addict (talk) 03:24, 6 January 2020 (UTC)
I stopped at the time of your initial request.-Splinemath (talk) 03:27, 6 January 2020 (UTC)
Cheers! I think Bellingham Police Department is the only one I thought appropriate, though others might contest that too; there are a lot of US police department articles. Happy 2020 editing. Espresso Addict (talk) 03:31, 6 January 2020 (UTC)
Thank you for your patience. Same to you; happy editing!-Splinemath (talk) 03:33, 6 January 2020 (UTC)

Andrew Felix Kaweesi

Hello Splinemath. Thank you for reviewing this page. However, I think your proposed deletion for this page was not carefully decided on since you're basing on the grounds of "all references are death-related". As much as most of the links are connected to subject's death since the article was written after the subject's death, there are some links like the one to "allAfrica" website that was written prior to his death. Thank you. (talk)

More inappropriate A7 speedies

Further to our discussion the other day, I've declined another couple, Gruaja Shiqiptare & Ženský Klub Český. Both have clear claims and are represented on other language wikipedias. Please be more careful. Espresso Addict (talk) 02:01, 8 January 2020 (UTC)

December 2020

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on United States Air Force; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Garuda28 (talk) 01:44, 13 January 2020 (UTC)

Should be selectively merged, not deleted, but I won't be doing so soon... AnonMoos (talk) 02:12, 16 January 2020 (UTC)

No courtesy of a reply after several days, will be changing the template to "mergeto" for the reasons explained on the article talk page. AnonMoos (talk) 21:03, 18 January 2020 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of A Running Jump

The article A Running Jump has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Per WP:NFILM. Coverage of the subject is not the primary topic of sources provided, or any additional sources found.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
