Thanks for the info. I will take these suggestions and continue editing.

Sourcing and notability

edit

This draft needs additional references to independent reliable sources to clearly demonstrate its notability. These should be sources where the subject is discussed in some depth, if possible. DES (talk) 15:29, 1 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

See our guideline for notability of businesses. DES (talk) 16:01, 1 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Citations should normally be placed after the text that they support, or at the end of a sentence or paragraph, not in section headers. See referencing for beginners and WP:CITE for more information. DES (talk) 15:59, 1 March 2014 (UTC

Fleet and simulators

edit

The detail of the specific airplanes and simulators (and any other specific equipment) the company owns and uses seems to add little to the article and looks more promotional than encyclopedic to me. Unless there is some unusual or significant aspect to these details which can be added to the article, i strongly advise removing these sections completely. DES (talk) 15:29, 1 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Tone

edit

The tone of the draft must be neutral and encyclopedic. It should not sound like a brochure issued by the academy. Full sentences, not telegraphese or bullet points, should be used. A "mission statement " should probably be simply omitted. If one is included, it should be a direct and attributed quote from the Academy or its owners, with a citation to where the statement was published, something like The Academy has written that its mission statement is "..."[citation to source].

Phrases such as "...students have graduated to occupy positions in commercial, corporate, and military aviation industries." and "This airport offers a great environment for student training..." sound very promotional. DES (talk) 15:55, 1 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

edit

links to external sites should generally not be placed in running text, but gathered in the "External links" section near the end. See the external links guideline and the layout guideline. edit

Wiki-links should usually be placed in running text, not as separate headers. DES (talk) 16:08, 1 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Categories

edit

While the page is in userspace, the category links have been altered so that the page is not actually a member of these categories. They should be restored when and if it is moved back to article space. However, several of these categories are currently red-links, meaning that the cats do not currently exist. Either they should be created, or, more usually existing categories should be used. The "Hot links" tool, located on the gadgets tab of a user's Wikipedia preferences page, makes finding and adding existing categories much easier. DES (talk)

Time references

edit

Phrases such as "currently" should not generally be used in articles. Instead, use "as of 2014" or some other specific time reference. This is because the article might still be online in several years, and a reader will not know what time "currently" actually refers to. DES (talk) 16:15, 1 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
