Speedy deletion nomination of PRO (rapper)

edit

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on PRO (rapper) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about it should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you can assert the notability of the subject,  . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

See the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies.  Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 02:01, 20 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

You've got to understand how this works. While PRO is known in Christian rap circles, he's not well-known outside of it. There are rules for determining whether an article should or should not be kept. For musicians the rules are listed at WP:BAND. While PRO may or may not meet that criteria, if the details regarding the critical criteria are not listed, the article must be deleted. I created User talk:Spideyrocks28/PRO so you can work on the article without fear of having it be deleted. If you want, I can look at the article if you think it meets the criteria, but before you move it into place. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 03:13, 20 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from List of Christian hip hop and rap artists. When removing content, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the content has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. I can see you removing edge cases, but when you remove DC Talk you're not being at all reasonable. Walter Görlitz (talk) 19:59, 20 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for starting to talk. Your opinion is valued, but doesn't change who is and isn't allowed to be on the list. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 03:16, 26 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Lecrae

edit

The Lecrae article is in danger of being severely edited if the tone isn't made more neutral. Do you think you could help with that? I don't know much about him. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 03:33, 27 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Lecrae.jpeg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 04:06, 29 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove file deletion tags from file description pages on Wikipedia, as you did to File:Lecrae.jpeg, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 04:50, 29 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Please make sure to include an edit summary. Please provide one before saving your changes to an article, as the summaries are quite helpful to people browsing an article's history. Thanks! Jim1138 (talk) 05:19, 29 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to change genres without discussion or sources, as you did at Lecrae, you may be blocked from editing. Since you have had three warnings today, I must apply this as a level three warning as there is no uw-genre4. Do not remove referenced genres. Speedy deletion nomination of File:Lecrae.jpeg

edit

A tag has been placed on File:Lecrae.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi. When you recently edited Lecrae, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Murs (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
