Your recent edits edit

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. Non-free rationale for File:HaloGlasslandscover.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:HaloGlasslandscover.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 01:51, 15 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

The purpose of a navbox edit

the navbox is to help navigate through articles related to the topic or series. they are not meant to add in redirects. So if an article redirects to another article, than the link isn't helping navigate through articles. Instead it is misleading. So i will remove all that redirect. including The Cole Protocol and Evolutions.Bread Ninja (talk) 14:06, 15 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Don't rush to make an article for an article that was deleted. It is "your" fault for adding it in. If it was deleted, it was for a reason. And the reason is that there's not enough 3rd-party reliable sources.Bread Ninja (talk) 14:54, 17 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Differing of opinions on the subject, I added it thinking it would be a good addition to Wiki but you people seem to disagree with this "assessment". Feel free to delete all the articles if you feel that way, but know work was put into them for a reason... Asian Inferno (talk) 16:22, 17 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

that's personal preferences. They have to be notable period. If they're deleted, it's because they're not notable. You don't decide what is. Also it doesn't matter if the novel is canon or not. canonicity isn't relevant to Wikipedia. It also doesn't matter if someone doesn't find the article. If it's not notable, it's not notable. And if it's deleted, it's for a reason. You're bias an only focused on adding information when there's not enough information to support it. If you want to prove they are notable, look up information and put in your sandbox. When you prove that it's notable, than you could make the article for real. It's not about Opinion, its about following the rules.Bread Ninja (talk) 16:29, 17 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
I leave that to you, I don't care anymore. There are a lot of other articles in various game franchises out there that will be deleted according to that rule now, novels, comics, etc. I can see why people edit much more valiantly on Wikia's then here... Asian Inferno (talk) 16:50, 17 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
I can see why too, but they're also more bias. The idea is to be neutral.Bread Ninja (talk) 21:17, 17 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
My goal isn't to discourage you or revert all your contributions, but just to impress upon you that we aren't Halopedia or Wookiepeedia or Memory Alpha or a fan wiki. Wikipedia serves as a general use encyclopedia, and while we cover a lot of stuff print never could, we're not a catchall. Articles specifically have to have more than plot to be even considered for their own articles; it doesn't matter if the article has utility with it or not. That's why we don't have entries for all Halo media. We still have gaps that need work—as you pointed out some sections on the main article are out of date or can use expanded information—but not all the new content like Glasslands can support its own weight on its own. Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs(talk) 23:41, 17 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
That's true, alright I guess I can see your angle. I'll keep trying to keep the series article up to date at the very least. Asian Inferno (talk) 05:13, 18 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
Well, in order to be "up to date" we have to add information to it (from third-party reliable source).Bread Ninja (talk) 05:42, 18 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Halo: Cryptum edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Halo: Cryptum requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
