Wikipedia is an encyclopedia edit

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a tabloid newspaper. Please stick to formal language without breathless descriptions of "blood all over" and "hysterical flight attendants," as befits an encyclopedia. I warned you not to restart the blood business, please stick to Wikipedia's established style for description of aviation accidents. Acroterion (talk) 23:27, 18 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Please read The biographies of living persons policy, which discourages gossippy discussions of peoples' injuries or behavior. The victim recently lived, and falls under that policy, as do the flight attendants. Wikipedia policy requires you to be stodgy. Stop promoting sensational gossip. I am concerned that you may not be sufficiently mature to understand that your editing focus is inappropriate and has been disruptive. Acroterion (talk) 23:41, 18 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

April 2018 edit

Hello, I'm KingAndGod. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —specifically this edit to Swaziland— because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help Desk. Thanks. KingAndGod 15:49, 19 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

You are 100% wrong. See http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-43821512

You're right and I apologize for that. KingAndGod 15:55, 19 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Please sign your posts edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at User talk:Southwest Boat, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  in the enhanced toolbar, or   if you use the old "classic" toolbar) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --Jax 0677 (talk) 16:23, 19 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

April 2018 edit

This is your only warning; if you make personal attacks again, as you did at Talk:Acroterion, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Acroterion (talk) 22:25, 20 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Any more stunts like this one [1] and I will block you indefinitely for personal attacks and an absence of the competency necessary to participate in this project. Acroterion (talk) 22:27, 20 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Southwest Airlines Flight 1380. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. Jasper Deng (talk) 18:50, 21 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 72 hours for persistently making disruptive edits. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Acroterion (talk) 20:47, 21 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Sorry. I am sorry. I have been bad but my edits today show an increase in good behavior and control. I ask that I be unblocked to prove I have self control. Unblock me now and I will self "block" myself for 48 hours by not editing. I will then edit very, very carefully. This kind of proof in having self control (showing that I can refrain from editing for 48 hours) is actually better than the 72 hour block. Again, I am sorry.

Decline reason:

Your apology is appreciated, but if you are not going to be editing for the period of the block anyway, or most of it, there is no reason to unblock you. As such, I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 21:53, 21 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Every time I confront you about your editing you claim you've been better. You haven't, it's been the same problems over and over again. It's 72 hours instead of indefinite because I want to give you a chance to reflect on your editing and to explain how you might change. Because it has to change, or I'll make it indefinite on grounds of an absence of editing competence and maturity. Acroterion (talk) 21:30, 21 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Questions directed to Admins edit

I see you have been posting on the talk pages of various administrators indicating that you want their opinion on something which you do not elaborate on. If you are seeking input from more than one admin on a given topic the best place to go is WP:AN. Post your question with any relevant details and you will get answers in short order. Please be careful to not directly attack other editors, including admins, unless you are very sure of the ground you are on as this can result in an unpleasant WP:BOOMERANG effect. See also WP:AGF. Thank you for your contributions to the project. Best regards... -Ad Orientem (talk) 17:47, 27 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

I do not want to go to AN because I only asked two administrators. I seek their opinion not for attack anyone. The issue doesn't involve any other user. Southwest Boat (talk) 17:50, 27 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I am permanently blocked for the following reason: UserNew2018Year. Please unblock me. I admit that I was too juvenile when editing Southwest Airlines Flight 1380, an article that I created (edit conflict caused me to be listed as the 2nd edit). As a result I was blocked for 72 hours until April 24, 2018. If you look at my edits since them, they are entirely reasonable.......I am being blocked for something not related to me. I am not this User:New2018Year. However, I see that such block was in error. User:New2018Year was blocked for being a sock of User:AGrandeFan. But, AGrandeFan stopped editing on November 9, 2017 and New2018Year did not start editing until January 2, 2018. Therefore, it is possible that they are not socks OR used the Clean Start provision. I think they are not the same person based on the way they write and personality. In any case, there is no overlap, which qualifies as a Clean Start .....Therefore, if I am blocked because I am accused of New2018Year being blocked, then look at New2018Year and confirm that this person was not correctly blocked. Please unblock. Show me where my edits are disruptive since being foolish about the Southwest Airlines flight article, which I learned my lesson

Decline reason:

Sockpuppetry has been confirmed. Yamla (talk) 19:13, 27 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

REASON FOR UNBLOCK REQUEST

See, this is where you have used your great technical ability but did not look at the big picture. I used SWBoat and SW Boat 2 in a permitted manner. While blocked, I created those 2 in German Wikipedia and another wikipedia. I did not (and could not edit) in English Wikipedia. When one is blocked, they are allowed to edit in another language Wikipedia.

I am not this Norwegian Flag. This computer is the lounge computer that any student could have used.

This great technical ability shows a serious flaw. Since my foolish edits in the Southwest Airlines Flight 1380 article resulting in a 72 hour block, I have edited in a responsible manner (Block ended April 24, 2018 and I have been very good starting then). If you want to block me, it should not be for life. Tell me what I must do.

See above for why New2018Year was blocked. It was blocked for accused sockpuppetry of User:AGrandeFan but behaviorally, that fan is very different AND there is no overlap with New2018Year, which mean it could have been a permitted clean start.

Anyway, I have edited in a responsible way since my foolish Southwest Airlines Flight 1380 72 hour block and I ask you if there is any way that I can prevent being blocked for the rest of my life. Tell me what I must do. If it is to write a formal apology or to not edit for anothe 72 hours, let me know. Southwest Boat (talk) 19:31, 27 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

unblock|reason=see section entitled REASON FOR UNBLOCK REQUEST. Thank you.}} I withdraw this unblock template because no administrator is going to stick out their neck to unblock. If they did unblock, they, themselves, would be a target. It is too bad that you are blocking me for life. Southwest Boat (talk) 22:41, 27 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I request unblock of User talk:New2018Year. I know it is easily to deny it using excuses but please hear me out. New2018Year is not me but if you want a forced false confession under duress, I might be convinced to consider it. New2018Year was blocked because that person used the same lounge computer as User:AGrandeFan. In my opinion, their syntax and behavior is completely different but even if they are the same person, it is permitted under WP:FRESHSTART (AGrandeFan stopped editing about 2 months before New2018Year and didn't edit the same articles). I ask that New2018Year be unblocked because I am blocked just become this other person used the same lounge computer as me. Note that is is not illegal to ask that someone else be unblocked. It happens all the time, discussion in different places in Wikipedia.

Decline reason:

That account needs to log in and ask to be unblocked. You've abused several accounts and this account was very close to an indefinite block before all this came to light. You have completely failed to address the issues with the editing from this account, much less from others. Checkuser blocks may not be lifted except by CUs.
