Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit that you made to the page Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Xavier Buck has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Talk back

edit
I think you're probably right. I hope consensus arises one way or the other. Soupy sautoy (talk) 21:43, 9 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
I should also point out that you can't nominate and also then !vote. You might want to go back to Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Milo_Yiannopoulos and either strike the second delete and replace it at the beginning of that para with Comment or move those additional details into your initial nomination. Please take another look

edit

You recently voted in a Articles for Deletion debate regarding the Staff Nurse Ella Kate Cooke article. Since your vote, I have completely re-worked the article and added reliable sources to it. In light of this, could you please reword your vote as a response that relates to the re-worked article (whether that be Keep or Delete)? SilverserenC 01:23, 10 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content without verifying it by citing reliable sources, as you did to List of collective nouns by subject I-Z. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Cresix (talk) 19:56, 11 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

RE: Rooks

edit

My mistake and my apologies. A couple of suggestions (your choice, of course). I would copy the citations from the other article just to keep everything orderly. Also, if you link the other article, use a piple link: [[Rook (bird)|Rook]]. Thanks. Cresix (talk) 17:18, 12 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi Soupy, you should undo your edit regarding Yiannopoulos' education. Neither source comments on the completeness of his studies, so Wikipedia shouldn't either. Thanks. WilliamH (talk) 19:30, 10 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

To add to what WilliamH has already said - your edits to the Yiannopoulos article contain some pretty serious problems. You appear to be synthesizing information that's not present in sources (for instance, reading "he went to [blah uni]" and interpreting that as "he didn't graduate from [blah uni]", which the source doesn't say), as well as treading dangerously along the edges of WP:BLP by adding information that's not at all supported by sources (for instance, "he...said that men naturally perform better than women, and that men shouldn't need to apologise for that." No, he didn't. According to the source you added, someone ELSE summarised his position with those words, which is a very different thing) and attributing responsibility to him for things that happened in an event he was associated with (in which he did not have a vote in the outcome, according to the source) is WP:COATRACKy - it's not at all clear from that source that Yiannopoulos was responsible for the incident that got critisised, as opposed to the writer of the article performing some synthesis of his own. You're therefore hanging criticism of Start-Up 100 onto an article about Yiannopoulos, even though there is no reliable source that demonstrates he has much, if anything, to do with the "scandal". These are all pretty serious editing issues, since they concern a biography of a living person, and I strongly recommend you read through our policies before attempting edits like these again. A fluffernutter is a sandwich! (talk) 19:53, 10 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
I think those are problems with my sourcing, as I did not include the articles linked to in the sources that explain what I meant. Thanks for the advice though, it's true that the edits weren't up to scratch. Soupy sautoy (talk) 19:58, 10 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
