PewDiePie

Hi Soulbust! I saw your revert and wanted to make some things clear. About the promotional thing, I agree, that was something I thought and I accidentally submitted and explained it in my next edit. Although with the chronological thing I don't necessarily agree with as being good in faith, as another YouTube channel doesn't relate to PewDiePie's article overall, let alone his controversy. Just by the first lines "Outside the controversy" implies that this isn't about Felix at all, and Socialblade rings another flag as that doesn't seem like a reliable source. Also for example, if we were to do the following about adding surpassing growth of a channel, we would have a continuous flow of edits to each YouTuber('s) article stating "this [YouTuber] gained more subscribers than this [YouTuber] on [blank]" and so on and so forth. I hope you understand my stance, but if not we can further discuss on the articles talk page. Thank you.   Adog104 Talk to me 13:13, 17 February 2017 (UTC)

Hello Adog104. I think we should just include it. Earlier in the Continued growth section of the PewDiePie article, it is included that he surpassed emimusic in terms of video views to become the most viewed channel of all time. I don't want readers to get the impression that his channel has remained the most viewed channel of all time after it was in reality, surpassed by another one. I agree that the inclusion of the information doesn't fit in with the subheading of "Controversial videos and network drop". Perhaps we can include it in the previous section, despite the minor chronological clunk that would create.
About Social Blade... it seems reliable, in my opinion, as (and right now, only as) a log of social media statistics. Let's see if maybe a media source covers T-Series passing PDP, and we can use that as an alternative. But in the same we Pro Football Reference is used to reference statistical data for American football articles, I think Social Blade should be allowed to be used to reference statistical data for YouTube-related articles.
Thanks for reaching out to me :) Soulbust (talk) 14:31, 17 February 2017 (UTC)
Fair enough, although I would only include such as statement if it were long-term and not only in this instance as-say it only happened over the course of [a] day(s); and it seems proper to place it under another section, rather than controversy. Social Blade, meh, I would ask a few other editors about it in the mean time (usually its not used as a source due to its general estimates, personally I haven't seen a proper discussion about its reliability on Wikipedia), but if reliable sourcing states the following than I would be on board as well. However anything is up, if other editors like it then go for it, I shouldn't be the thing to stop you from including it with reliable sourcing. Adog104 Talk to me 01:52, 18 February 2017 (UTC)

Non-Transferable

Hello. I really appreciate your work and courtesy supporting web creators and wanted to propose the respectful protocol of listing the new film Non-Transferable with myself Brendan Bradley, Ashley Clements, Shanna Malcolm, Joey Richter and more... I want to respect community guidelines but also know listing on this site is invaluable for discovery. The film's website contains a linked image-map press blurb for citation and I am happy to help in whatever way is appropriate to create and contribution to a listing.

Thank you for everything you do for young creators like me and hope you have a lovely weekend!

Template:NFL Honors

Hey, I'm thinking Template:NFL Honors should just list the awards presented at NFL Honors, as opposed to its current layout of being half that and half individual winners. So basically, stripped down to just the "AP awards presented" and "Other awards presented" rows. And maybe the "Ceremonies" row as well. Navboxes are meant for navigation between similar articles, so ideally we shouldn't be grouping awards and individual players together. Lizard (talk) 16:55, 10 March 2017 (UTC)

Tracer (Overwatch)

Hello:

The copy edit that you requested from the Guild of Copy Editors of the article Tracer (Overwatch) has been completed.

You'll notice that I archived one of the article’s citations (#3), (the references in citations 1 and 2 did not allow archving). I suggest you archive the rest of the article’s URLs as time allows. This ensures that the article's references are available "forever" and that it doesn’t develop “dead links” over time. The site I use is https://archive.org/web/. Simply copy the URL in the citation and paste it in the "Save Page Now" box on the archive.org site and click “Save”. This creates a copy of the original page and provides you with a new URL to add to the original citation. If you look at the URL I've archived you'll see the syntax. You add the new URL to the end of the original citation like this: |archiveurl=http etc|archivedate=March 12, 2017}}. Not all websites allow archiving, so there's not much you can do about that unless there is an alternate citation you could use.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Regards,

Twofingered Typist (talk) 14:11, 12 March 2017 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for March 21

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited SourceFed, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Discovery. A kitten for you!

Thanks for Helping with Phil's article, I was wrong that he mentioned SourceFed, I've fixed this. I rephrased some of this to make it more readable but your thought to add the quotes makes sense. You said that he left Discovery/Group nine but when talking about the Vloggity said that it was a subsidiary so I fixed this. Thanks again, I missed that about SourceFed. :) Regards - Amazingawnser

Still interested in doing the Top 25 report?

Because the position's open this week, if you want it. Serendipodous 09:34, 17 May 2017 (UTC)

If you're talking about the May 7-13, then yes I'm still interested :) I have a draft going, and I'll finish it today when I get home from school. Soulbust (talk) 12:44, 18 May 2017 (UTC)
That looks great! Sorry for the lack of detailed critique but I just had a really stressful day (cat decided he didn't want to go to the vet so broke out of his box and disappeared for nine hours) and I'm going to sleep. I'll let you know more in the morning, but from what I've seen so far, no probs at all. Serendipodous 21:58, 18 May 2017 (UTC)

A little favor

Hi, Soulbust! Could you do me a little favor and comment on the PR of the article Supermarine Spitfire? I am trying to bring it to A-class or FA quality. It would be great, if you could help me do that. See you. Cheers, FriyMan Per aspera ad astra 10:57, 21 July 2017 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Top 25 Report/Records & #1 list - Amazing

I hope you don't mind, I added a "Records" tab to the main Top 25 Report header to raise the visibility of these pages; this is great stuff!--Milowenthasspoken 21:21, 9 August 2017 (UTC)

Oh, I don't mind at all, Milowent. Thank you for that. I made it thinking it could be useful and whatnot. Best wishes :^) Soulbust (talk) 23:02, 9 August 2017 (UTC)

Please stop

Please stop changing the order of categories, just spamming up watchlists and page histories. Read WP:CATV and Wikipedia:Bot_requests/Archive_61#Create_a_BOT_to_alphabetize_and_organize_categories_automatically.--JacktheHarry (talk) 09:33, 28 October 2017 (UTC)

It's legit usually 1 edit per article. Sorry if that spams you but yeah that WP:CATV reads the order in which categories are placed on a page is not governed by any single rule (for example, it does not need to be alphabetical, although partially alphabetical ordering can sometimes be helpful)." So... there isn't any single rule for categorization, and yet you're trying to govern how I edit based on a single edit? If you don't like the alphabetical ordering of categories, as the policy also mentions that "Normally the most essential, significant categories appear first," you can always revert the edit, and I really wouldn't care mind at all, and would move along with my day. It's not that deep.

Tracer (Overwatch) FAC

Are you still working towards making Tracer (Overwatch) a featured article? I am new to wikipedia and would like to help see an article to 'completion' before I branch out and start working on less polished articles. Granzymes (talk) 20:10, 20 December 2017 (UTC)

Yep that's still the goal. Had to put it on pause b/c of schoolwork, but I'm on a break now so I'll be working on the article more for a couple of weeks now. Thanks for reaching out, Granzymes! Soulbust (talk) 20:28, 20 December 2017 (UTC)
I'm out of things to copy edit for the article. Any advice for improvements that I could make? Granzymes (talk) 20:19, 24 December 2017 (UTC)
As for copy editing, I think you did a fantastic job. I'm not that skilled at copy editing, so I really appreciate the care and effort you put into the article. Thank you for that! As for the rest of the article, Masem gave the advice that as we ought to double check if the article is formatted similarly to other FA VG-character articles. I think we're fine on that. The only other thing I can think of that maybe would give the article some more visual strength is to add an image of a Tracer cosplayer in the Reception section. I've looked around on Flickr, but I couldn't find any of the high-quality cosplays under a proper CC license. Still think this should be fine to achieve FA status. Thanks again for all the help :^) Soulbust (talk) 20:38, 24 December 2017 (UTC)
I like this one. What do you think? Granzymes (talk) 23:01, 24 December 2017 (UTC)
This one is also very nice. Granzymes (talk) 23:05, 24 December 2017 (UTC)
The first one you linked is nice, but I think it doesn't show enough from the front. It's certainly serviceable, though. That second one would be a better pick but I'm not too sure it's released under a Wiki-acceptable CC license. If only we could feature something like this or this. Only other things we could do is maybe put up an image request or maybe reach out to uploaders of cosplay images? There's a con coming up in Miami. I might (strong might) even be able to slide over to that one. But yeah, if anything, we can go with one of the 2 you linked to. Soulbust (talk) 23:44, 24 December 2017 (UTC)
The second one is Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 License, but I don't know if that's acceptable for Wikipedia. Granzymes (talk) 00:05, 25 December 2017 (UTC)
Ah, so sorry for the late reply. I must've honestly missed your reply. Yeah, I believe that license is unfortunately not acceptable for Wiki. Soulbust (talk) 16:05, 3 January 2018 (UTC)

Top 25

Nice to see you took upon yourself to write the top 25. Just to help: before you ignore Hustler in the list thinking it's a situation like xHamster, Reddit is to blame. You can ready some "only read it for the interviews" jokes. igordebraga 14:00, 11 July 2017 (UTC)

Yeah, I thought it would be a Reddit situation here, already found the TIL thread. Thanks for the tip! Soulbust (talk) 23:29, 11 July 2017 (UTC)

Since you put your name for last week without seeing I had already done it... formatted the list you made, leaving it open for the analysis. Feel free to borrow anything I've written (after all, I did the same with what A lad insane had done in the previous week), of course. igordebraga 03:38, 10 August 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for formatting the list, but I wont be able to make the report this week. Probably in 2 or 3 weeks, I'll be back to editing as much as I do normally. Best wishes :^) Soulbust (talk) 16:07, 11 August 2017 (UTC)

Put up the list of the week for you (Star Wars features strongly!), since you claimed it. Hope to see that, and the rest of your entries in the annnual report, soon! igordebraga 13:06, 24 December 2017 (UTC)

Remember to deliver the Stranger Things entry on the annual list. igordebraga 00:46, 29 December 2017 (UTC)
