January 2009 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Your favorite enemies has been reverted. Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: '\bmyspace\.com' (link(s): http://www.myspace.com/202173903 http://www.myspace.com/1001165358 http://www.myspace.com/180605305 http://www.myspace.com/372601607 http://www.myspace.com/372239686 http://www.myspace.com/370595028 http://www.myspace.com/356966291 http://www.myspace.com/342460110 http://www.myspace.com/326721566 http://www.myspace.com/356088420 http://www.myspace.com/276751394 http://www.myspace.com/244553724 http://www.myspace.com/193349719 http://www.myspace.com/373596207 http://www.myspace.com/386320984 http://www.myspace.com/241028011 http://www.myspace.com/305590177 http://www.myspace.com/239255920 http://www.myspace.com/197713235 http://www.myspace.com/200256522 http://www.myspace.com/238565021 http://www.myspace.com/215680080 http://www.myspace.com/171897380 http://www.myspace.com/158171552 http://www.myspace.com/215897882) . If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).

If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! Notability of Your favorite enemies edit

A tag has been placed on Your favorite enemies requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. 74.58.92.148 (talk) 16:31, 7 January 2009 (UTC) Please do not delete this article... We are working hard on imporving the quality of this article... article 7 is in case here... The credibility and importance of this article is contested... But we are working on a section that will show how important it is to have an article about your favorite enemies... It's a section about the social invlovment of YFE... The band is spokesperson for Amnesty International, and is working very hard on trying to help kids have a different vision of life, be positive, stop cutting... YFE tries trough the music to encourrage kids to be involved into focusing on helping each other and opening their eyes on social causes... That is why the band has started an organisation called "rock n rights" through music YFE makes human rights more accessible to the next generation... YFE fights most of all againts racism... I cannot give all the info we are working on makin the section nice and understandable... please just leave us time to write it perfectly, there are a lot of angles we can go over, because YFE's social involvement is what makes it what it is... So ereasing this article would not help human rights... YFE is fighting laong side of Amnesty International, I think this gives them a little credibility... And to mention that temporarly until the section is added, I will add in the musical Infobox... thank you for your understanding 74.58.92.148 (talk) 16:31, 7 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Image copyright problem with File:Japan 02.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Japan 02.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 20:22, 20 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Deletion of links and extensive "street team" list edit

I removed the street team list because wikipedia is not a directory, and it is not appropriate to have such a list in an encyclopedia article. I removed the links because wikipedia is not a collection of links. Please see our featured articles like Flea (musician) which show that the best articles do not have a dozen links at the bottom. Rather than adding links and lists, please add sourced facts about the band. Again, it's good to look at our featured articles to get an idea of what good articles on music-related topics look like. Calliopejen1 (talk) 16:22, 9 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

I'm not sure what you're talking about re Amnesty. I don't think any of the links I removed was an Amnesty site. Can you supply the URL you're talking about? In any event, it would be better to include substantive content in the body of the article, then use the Amnesty site as a reference as opposed to something in the external links section. Calliopejen1 (talk) 15:16, 12 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
French language references are fine. I would write the information in your own words (in English), rather than using a quote. That is something like "X was formerly a neo-Nazi, but he changed blah blah blah and now has this band to increase awareness blah blah blah." To cite a reference you can just put it in brackets like [http://www.amnistie.ca/content/view/79/115/] in the article, which shows up as [1]. Once you've done that, let me know, and I can show you how to format the reference better. Calliopejen1 (talk) 14:56, 13 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Removing tags edit

Hello

As suggested on "Wikipedia:Tagging pages for problems" I am placing a note here in order to say that I chose to remove the tags mentioning that this article needed copy editing for grammar, style, cohesion, tone or spelling, added on September 2010. I did a clean-up and made modifications to the article on September 14th 2010. However, I am open to any kind of help, especially regarding the terms of use, as I am a new user and article administrator on Wikipedia. Thank you.Sophenemy (talk) 16:25, 23 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for File:Your favorite enemies wiki.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Your favorite enemies wiki.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 14:05, 7 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the information. I will make sure to indicate the license status of the image soon as possible. Sophenemy (talk) 14:34, 11 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Regarding images licensing edit

Hi,

I have uploaded a new picture file found on the web, to replace the previous image file (your_favorite_enemies_wiki.jpeg), which was deleted from this page. I wrote to the user responsible for its deletion (Magog the Ogre) in order to ask for advices, as suggested by Wikipedia. I am presently in touch with the author (copyright holder) of the previous deleted file, in order to get the official licensing for images regarding Your Favorite Enemies. Is this the right thing to do? I am still a beginner here on Wikipedia, I am open to any advice. Thanks!Sophenemy (talk) 05:41, 16 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I have a question! I would like to add an external Wikipedia page, for the insertion of some new content regarding a music album. How can I manage to insert this external page sharing the description of the album? How can I obtain the right to use a picture? Can someone help me with the process??? Thank you in advance!!! Your Favorite Enemies edit

Hi, my revert of your edits came out wrong. The Huggle software that I was using somehow did not display the immediate changes before the revert, it simply displayed the URLs next to the section header, so I thought you were spamming. I later realised that I made a mistake, so, I'm sorry. Please continue with your work, and if you have any queries, please come forward with them. Hi again! Thank you for your quick reply, the good news and thank you for the offer to help. I am curious to know! Would you know the way to proceed in order to launch an external page providing detailed information for a music album? Or where should I go or whom should I talk with in order to obtain such an information? I am glad I can get your support and collaborate with you! Feel free to contact me anytime again soon if ever you have some more information which you think would be of good use for me, regarding the maintenance of this article! Thanks!
