Yes,please do find some articles, as long as they are in 3rd party independent reliable published sources, print or online (but not blogs or press releases). Quiz shows of that period were, as i recall, rather problematic in several respects. We are certainly not going to accentuate negative aspects, and anything negative we do say must be soundly documented, but we do need to at the very least verify the basics. I will keep an eye on the article. But of course you know not to add rumors and innuendoes--this is an encyclopedia. I appreciate your contacting me first, and if there is anything that you are not sure is usable, please let me know first, either here or on my talk page. If you mby any chance have some conflict of interest, the best thingto do is to frankly declare it on your talk page. DGG (talk) 06:23, 16 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

The issue is that there are no articles--I myself am the source, as an expert on the history of quizbowl. I know that's not usually allowed, but it's the only way to get information on this topic. SombreroGalaxyHat (talk) 06:24, 16 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

This won';t do at Wikipedia--are there really no newspaper articles on this program? If there are truly no published sources the article will be deleted. DGG (talk) 18:08, 16 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Then delete it you must, but using the policy as an ideological bludgeon to eliminate just the "criticism" section while allowing all the other information to remain, when it's just as unsourced, is unacceptable. SombreroGalaxyHat (talk) 20:54, 16 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I have my curiosity ... what is your interest in saving this article? I would have thought the opposite. LonelyBeacon (talk) 01:52, 17 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

It's a notable topic (most important event in the context of high school quizbowl until the late 90s, and it was a television show with a nationwide reach from 1988 to 1994). It should have an article, but the article should not be gutted by people with a conflict of interest like Chip Beall's ex-wife. SombreroGalaxyHat (talk) 01:59, 17 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I see ..... safe trip to Chicago .... LonelyBeacon (talk) 02:39, 17 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
