Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Worldbruce was:

The draft's foremost problem is WP:CITEKILL. There's no good reason for citing 6, 10, or 13 sources to support the same thing. The problem is so severe that it will be difficult to get people to review the draft, let alone accept it. (Also, avoid citing sources within section headings.) Examining 10 references at random, [1], [2], [3], and [4] don't mention Haney at all.

This may tie in with a second problem, lack of focus and undue weight. Keep in mind that this is a biography. Extensive background about diplomatic relations should be moved to more suitable articles, such as Costa Rica–United States relations. Do not credit Haney with something in Wikipedia's voice simply because it took place during Haney's tenure. Reliable secondary sources are needed that analyze Haney's contribution to an event.

[5] is a press release and [6] is a brief mention. When every source is cited exactly once, it's a good sign that there's something wrong. Wikipedia articles should be based mainly on secondary sources, ones that take a higher level, longer term view and thus typically support multiple statements. Avoid over reliance on primary sources, each of which reports a single twist or turn in the path from nomination to confirmation.

[7] is an op-ed, a type of source which is of very limited use in an encyclopedia article.

[8] is a solid source for supporting the fact that he went to Naperville Central High School. It invites the obvious question, how does Wikipedia knows all of the other information in that paragraph? The other source cited there only supports his mother's name, Sandra, and the fact that he had at least one brother.

The good news is that [9] and [10] are both strong sources. There should be no problem demonstrating that Haney is notable. Base the draft mainly on sources like these, get rid of the cite overkill, keep the focus on Haney's life, and trim anything for which no source can be cited.
