Orphaned fair use image (Image:LWeekPage1.1.gif) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:LWeekPage1.1.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. My Legal Week edits edit

In response to your request: another editor undid your edits, apparently because of what they perceived as a WP:COI problem. I reinserted those edits after deciding that they complied with Wikipedia WP:RS, WP:V, and WP:NPOV policies, but I do encourage you to review the WP:COI policy.   If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with,
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors,
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
    and you must always:
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially neutral point of view, verifiability, and autobiography.

Accounts used solely for blatant self-promotion may be blocked indefinitely without further warning.

For more details, please read the Conflict of Interest guideline. Thank you. --Hu12 20:16, 8 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Username edit

You should change your username at Wikipedia:Changing username. Usernames that contain a domain or imply a web address or Usernames that promote a company are not allowed as usernames and eventually this account will be disabled. see Inappropriate usernames.--Hu12 20:35, 8 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Appeal for help edit

Is there an independent voice out there who can help me by editing the Legal Week page? Anything that I write is automatically assumed to be biased, despite my belief that any independent editor describing the magazine would have written pretty much the same things. I solemnly swear to never edit the Legal Week page again, but please - can someone else edit it so that infernal COI badge may one day be removed - please?!--Solicitor1 13:31, 20 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

What you would want to do is provide valid, reliable sources, independent of the article's subject, which have written about it, and ensure that such an article is written in an neutral tone. If you can point me to such sources, I can certainly have a look at them. If they don't exist, it's not appropriate for us to have an article on the subject.
