I reverted your deletion because it is part of a text that editors have been arguing over for over a year, and we have gone through all the notable sources we know - all of which are cited in other contexts in the article, and all of whom accept this claim. The citations are the people named in the preceeding sections. Now, an edito#s finding it hard to believe something is itself not a reason to delete something that other editors agree on. Of course, if you can provide one notable source that rejects this view we can delete it. The task facing you is actually pretty easy since all you have to do is find one relevant scholar who is notable - any one - who rejects this and you have proven your point.
