hello davey - is this the way to reply? just wanted to say thanks, that's all, but on your talk page it says do so here and here there is no such thing as a reply button (i'm too used to social networks, i imagine). chances are you may never get to see this, in which case it's a gesture into the wildernes, but it's always worth a try... To reply you can just click edit above,

To sign your name & date just press ~ 4 times (IE ~~~~) or you can press the pen on the editing box,

To be honest once you familiarize yourself by reading up stuff & trying it all out you eventually get used to it all :)

great, so it worked! (i had a hunch it might, but wasn't sure; though that's essentially exactly what i did. all clear now. ish...) - i've got to say: i've always been a great fan of wikipedia, but doing a bit of editing and contributing myself makes me realise just how immensely wonderful a thing this really is. thanks for your welcome & help!
