Blocked as a sockpuppet edit

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively as a sockpuppet of User:Buzzards-Watch Me Work per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Buzzards-Watch Me Work. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

Request reason:

Hi, I was blocked for apparently being a sockpuppet account, even though I’ve never even had another wikipedia account to begin with. I’ve only ever used this account for legitimate edits as far as I recall, and if I did forget any time I did use it for nefarious purposes, know that I have no desire to do that. If I could at least have a bit of clarification for why I was banned, that’d be helpful, and it’d especially be great if you could reconsider this ban.SnoopySnoo (talk) 20:25, 18 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

This is a checkuser block, meaning it is supported with private technical evidence(evidence that even I cannot see). It could be that you have no other accounts, but that would only make this meat puppetry, which is treated the same. 331dot (talk) 09:48, 19 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I just looked more into my ban, and that “Buzzards Watch Me Work” account isn’t mine, that is someone else’s account SnoopySnoo (talk) 20:39, 18 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Hi again, I looked more into that account and it’s sockpuppets, and it appears the one thing linking them is a common practice of editing Minnesota-related pages, something I did. I made an edit i thought was constructive, and it was reverted. Once it was I just let it go and went on with my day. This edit was made fully on my own, no one recruited me to do it on their behalf, and I’ve never even heard of this guy or any of his meat puppets. If this was some kind of bad faith edit, wouldn’t I have gone in and tried doing it again? I’ve done plenty of constructive edits before this, most of which were kept in place as good additions, however I got blocked for some less than stellar good faith edit that just happens to line up with the MO of a wiki troll I’ve never heard of? I am aware I have no real way to prove that I don’t have any affiliation with this guy, and I’m sure you deal with a lot of liars on these reports, but just know I’m not involved with that guy, I am not his meat puppet, and all I am trying to do is make edits that better the site. If there is any way you can give me any of your evidence that you banned me for, I’d appreciate it so I can disprove it to you. SnoopySnoo (talk) 15:21, 19 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Accept reason:

After consulting with another CU off-wiki, I am going to unblock this account. Reviewing the data, it is possible that a mis-identification was made. My apologies for the inconvenience. -- RoySmith (talk) 19:14, 8 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

bro it’s been almost a month can you take a look at my appeal? SnoopySnoo (talk) 15:45, 8 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
