>Hello, there! edit

Hey, Sneakattack, I recently decided to pay a kind visit before a good old friend of mine, more so an acquaintance, which is you. So, ... HI! I think I recognized your work with that Caitlin Linney page a few months prior with a thank you. As far beyond that, nothing else has been said. But hey, keep making more pages in the best of quality as possible! My words will return soon. But for now, I welcome your existence with a simple wish of luck with your day.

Yours truly, Infopage100 (talk) 10:27, 28 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Infopage100 edit

Hello, Sneakattack, I just wanted to say that "my favourite song" features Caitlin Linney's vocals, and that I really appreciate you making a page for the aforementioned vocalist. If I attempted to create an artist page myself, I would be way too overwhelmed, I'd panic, and subsequently either quit or create a failure. So thanks for your help with that! New contributions are always appreciated. I'm glad you're a Wikipedian. Have a nice night.

                                Sincerely, Infopage100

Speedy deletion nomination of Matthew Specktor edit

A tag has been placed on Matthew Specktor requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Only Son (musician), and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.sneakattackmedia.com/campaign.php?id=326.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. April Smith and the Great Picture Show edit

You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

The article April Smith and the Great Picture Show has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 20:34, 15 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

trying to pass uncredited images as new versions of authorized images edit

Hi Sneakattack. I just noticed that you substituted an entirely different image as a new version of File:1342moldy09.jpg - my photo of Jack Dishel. This is unacceptable behavior as the new image is then purported to be authored and authorized by me, neither of which is the case. I have reverted. If you wish to add new free images, and place them in articles, you are perfectly entitled to do so, but trying to pass uncredited images as new versions of authorized free images is just not on. Replaceable fair use File:Only Son Album Photo.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Only Son Album Photo.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that this media item is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media item could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media item is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the file discussion page, write the reason why this media item is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 22:34, 26 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

Proposed deletion of Matt Lowell edit

The article Matt Lowell has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

this was artists old, inaccurate, promotional content that he no longer wants associated with his name

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Replaceable fair use File:Nathaniel RateliffUpdated.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Nathaniel RateliffUpdated.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

Speedy deletion of Murder In the Front Row (film) edit

If this was the first article that you created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

The page Murder In the Front Row (film) has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appeared to be a direct copy from https://sdmetal.com/metallica-megadeth-slayer-anthrax-exodus-featured-in-murder-in-the-front-row-documentary. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition has been be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, you may contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion Review S Philbrick(Talk) 19:44, 23 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
