It's late

I will remember who it was, likely days from now. He/she had the household IT specialist work the magic to ensure at least a few hours of sleep. (At my vast age, my eyes quit after 5 or 6 hours of staring at the screen, which is its own type of enforcement.) I am the Nightwatch in my house, nonetheless. I was the nightwatch already as a kid. I remember the first times insomnia set in, perhaps I was seven, and it scared me. I thought I might die if I didn't catch any sleep. Don't know why I believed that, but in my narcissistic frenzy I woke the entire family, running up and down the hall, screaming "I can't sleep! I can't sleep". I had tried to repress this memory, but my big sister reminded me recently. She hadn't forgotten. ---Sluzzelin talk 03:22, 6 August 2011 (UTC)

I sleep just fine, once I get there, but I have had very little success in starting before about 4:00 a.m. I like to be asleep before the birds start their morning racket, and the rooster next door begins to strut. And then I am gone for 7 to 8 hours. I make no appointments before noon because I hate waking up to an alarm clock. I did the daytime schedule for 50 years -never again. They'll have to find an old-age home for me that does breakfast at 13:00. And on that note, the screen is beginning to swim, so I am off to read -different focal length, and so still possible. Credo Reference Update & Survey (your opinion requested)

Credo Reference, who generously donated 400 free Credo 250 research accounts to Wikipedia editors over the past two years, has offered to expand the program to include 100 additional reference resources. Credo wants Wikipedia editors to select which resources they want most. So, we put together a quick survey to do that:

French capitalisation

Thanks for helping with my rewrite of The Carnival of the Animals. I suppose the rule is to write the most common name (used in English), which in this case is the English translation, with the original in parenthesis. Fine. And you capitalised 'Carnaval', which looks odd to me, but is I see the way it's written in a (smelly paper) book in front of me. Gosh. But double-gosh, there seems to be another rule for "Musical article style" here, saying the other thing:

Hmm. Should there really be a rule for capitalisation of French within English? I see Le martyre de Saint Sébastien has interestingly different capitalisation in French French...

I had only changed the capitalisation; the common name switch was done by another editor. I changed the capitalisation according to Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/France_&_French-related#Works_of_art, but didn't even bother to read the next paragraph on music which indeed says something else. I too am keeping the red-linked category on my user page, and I have a feeeling others are as well. What would you think about creating a page or sub-page where those of us who had joined the category could add our names?
