MD vs MF

Opinion

I wouldn't mind your opinion on the latest version of Template:Alloa Athletic F.C. squad, I've simply marked every player to reduce possible confusion. Please adapt and/or roll back as you deem necessary. Bobo. 03:26, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

My opinion is that it looks a mess, but I'll leave it as you left it.

Yesterday I was thinking of trying to get a consensus of how we should display the likes of Scottish or French 2nd division clubs without squad numbers. {{AS Beauvais Squad}} has a different representation. It uses {{football squad2 start}} and {{football squad2 manager}} but slightly different player notation. With squad numbers, the lists are not sorted by position. Needless to say, I'm unsure of the best representation of these clubs' squads - that's why I'd like to open it up to other voices.  Sʟυмgυм • т • c  11:29, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

Personally I prefer having markings next to each individual player. But I'm pretty ambivalent as far as that's concerned, and the alternate version is fine with me. It's interesting you chose AS Beauvais' squad template as an example, particularly as that template is not actually present on any pages as yet. Maybe that should be my next task as I can find little or nothing to say about the remaining Alloa players without really digging for information. What do you think? Bobo. 14:53, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

To be honest, I hadn't thought about the Beauvais tp being full of redlinks! I'd just noticed it in the Category:French football squad templates, and I'm not even sure any of the players are notable. In fact you are both right, the rollback function is not available to non admins, but there's a javascript trick that does the same thing by going to the previous revision, pressing edit and saving. -- lucasbfr ^talk 12:46, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
