Remember to always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes (~~~~)
at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to this (your talk) page, and a timestamp.
To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put
{{My sandbox}}
on your userpage.User page v. talk page
editHi Slrayner, I see you've discovered both your user page and talk page. You user page is where you can place anything you want about yourself and your work with Wikipedia to communicate your persona to the community. Your user talk page is where other Wikipedians will go to send you a message. I moved your bio over to your user page and added an internal link to a Wikipedia page by placing two brackets around an article name, which was University of Southern Indiana. Have fun with Wikipedia, Crtew (talk) 03:55, 27 August 2012 (UTC)
Signing messages
editSlrayner, Signing messages is the primary way you tell people who is writing them and it is simple to do! All you need to do is to place four tildes after your message and Wikipedia, autosigns, timestamps and creates a reply link in one fell swoop. Have fun, Crtew (talk) 13:30, 27 August 2012 (UTC)

Assignment
editSlrayner, You are assigned to write about Lebanon and "Military attacks on the media during the 2006 Lebanon War", including press casualties and injuries or infrastructure damage.
You may want to start by constructing a list from the resources you have on your user page and then continue to search from there for any other attacks before writing. Aim to write a section that will be included in the above article. Good luck, Crtew (talk) 12:42, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
