In favor of a permanent ban

He needs to be punished properly with the lifetime penalty of banning IP addresses. I hope the administrators will ban him forever, having to remove destructive components like this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:EE0:4B75:560:FD55:1967:E503:3D11 (talk) 05:00, 23 August 2020 (UTC)

Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Hurricane Maria, did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Vongfong is still active

Just to note that as of this edit, Vongfong is still active, surprisingly. Typhoon2013 (talk) 11:01, 17 May 2020 (UTC)

Harold

Please note that the FMS who were in charge of Harold at the time of its peak intensity has adjusted Harold's intensity on Apri l6 at 12z to 125 kts and 920 hPa. My source for this is the BoM's BT Database which shows that Harold has wind speeds of 90 m/s (which converts to 125 kts) and 920 hPa and attributes it back to the FMS. If you have a problem with this then please respond before reverting me again. Thanks.Jason Rees (talk) 22:10, 12 June 2020 (UTC)

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Jason Rees (talk) 13:39, 13 June 2020 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Tropical cyclones in 2010, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Fais and Reunion (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:19, 13 July 2020 (UTC)

your edits are generally meaningless Sleepinthestars (talk) 12:39, 13 July 2020 (UTC)

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing →   Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. This is a pattern I have noticed throughout your editing history. You would go a long way towards avoiding conflict with others if you would take out a few seconds each edit to specify an edit summary. Jasper Deng (talk) 09:05, 18 July 2020 (UTC)

Blocked for sockpuppetry

Yes, I admit that I have created other accounts and this is my fault, give me the opportunity to fix this, I will not participate in editing wars since I am from Ukraine, then I make edits as I understand it, I ask very strongly you unblock me, it won't happen again Sleepinthestars (talk) 15:57, 28 July 2020 (UTC)

Before you request unblock using the {{unblock}} template, read WP:SOCK to the end. 🐔 Chicdat ChickenDatabase 11:15, 30 July 2020 (UTC)

Request reason:

I have read WP:SOCK and will not repeat my past mistakes that I made, I will use only one account, give me a chance to correct Sleepinthestars (talk) 15:14, 30 July 2020 (UTC)

Decline reason:

This isn't the first time you were caught socking. What's changed now? You knew you were in the wrong before, you were caught, and you did it again. Yamla (talk) 16:52, 30 July 2020 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I fully understand all my guilt and what I did wrong and I want to ask you to give me a chance to get better, everyone deserves a second chance and I will try to be better not to make the mistakes of the past, now I am really sorry that I did it, please forgive me and I want to say that this will not happen again Sleepinthestars (talk) 17:14, 30 July 2020 (UTC)

But we gave you a second chance. You squandered it. I mean, you are free to ask for a third chance, but frankly you've demonstrated you can't be trusted. --Yamla (talk) 21:40, 30 July 2020 (UTC)

I give my word that there will be no new accounts, I really want to return, I will not let you down, you will see Sleepinthestars (talk) 05:13, 31 July 2020 (UTC)

I know that I have lost your trust, but give one more chance to fix everything, the hardest thing is to get trust again, if you give me a chance, I will prove that I can be trusted Sleepinthestars (talk) 13:06, 31 July 2020 (UTC)

Why are you so keen to edit Wikipedia? Jason Rees (talk) 22:18, 31 July 2020 (UTC)

I like to make small edits about hurricanes, I have no other goals Sleepinthestars (talk) 04:44, 1 August 2020 (UTC)

please give me one last chance Sleepinthestars (talk) 09:20, 1 August 2020 (UTC)

Request reason:

Please give me one last chance, I promise that I will improve and will not break the rules anymore, I read WP: SOCK, I know that I don’t deserve your trust, but I want to return it, the last chance I will correct myself, I give my word,or give me a block for a month, this is like the last warning for me, I think it will be fair, of course, if you find it reasonable Sleepinthestars (talk) 17:27, 2 August 2020 (UTC)

Decline reason:

Once trust is lost, it's very hard to get it back. Since you are just giving platitudes instead of specific answers, I see no grounds to lift the block at this time- though you can demonstrate you are willing to follow guidelines by following the standard offer; no edits or socking for six months. I think that's your most likely pathway back to editing. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 21:18, 2 August 2020 (UTC)

Request reason:

Six months have passed since my blocking, during this time I did not create other accounts, I realized my mistake that I made and now I ask you to unblock me

Accept reason:

With the consent of both blocking admins, I have lifted your block. Welcome back and happy editing! Yamla (talk) 02:04, 9 March 2021 (UTC)

@ST47:, @GeneralNotability:, I'm tempted to unblock here. Six months with no further sockpuppetry that I can see. What are your thoughts? --Yamla (talk) 12:22, 6 March 2021 (UTC)

Yamla, no objections - WP:SO and all that. GeneralNotability (talk) 17:58, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
