Speedy deletion nomination of Dirk O. Meyer

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Dirk O. Meyer requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Welcome to Wikipedia

Regarding the proposed speedy deletion of Dirk O. Meyer. I understand that you are new to Wikipedia put that does not protect you from Wikipedia's Policies, such as A7 (Trust me, all new users do not follow this, that includes myself and even some administrators. I suggest that you read more of the links above and consider yourself for Adoption. Also I am here to warn you about Personal Attacks. You did not follow the directions in the deletion box and did what could be called a personal attack on myself. What you should have done was argue the notability of the subject on the articles talk page rather than posting an offensive comment on my own talk page. Sincerely, Winner 42 ( Talk to me! ) 19:34, 23 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Nuclear Sign

edit

I happened upon your page for the Nuclear signs, good job so far. Only suggestion might be to put a line & header to separate the two symbols. Keep up the good work.--The Navigators (talk)-May British Rail Rest in Peace. 03:52, 30 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

tagging

edit

The tag you put on the article bout dirk Meyer was unnecessary--the article is not currently listed for speedy deletion--the previous speedy tag was removed by another editor as soon as it was placed. So I removed your tag. What would help avoid a possible AfD, though, is additional references, especially to reviews of his book or of his concerts. DGG ( talk ) 19:02, 5 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
