Hey there edit

Welcome to Wikipedia!   Are you looking for any specific kind of article to edit (e.g. a particular subject matter), a specific kind of edit to make (e.g. "I just wanna fix typos & missing punctuation" or "I'd like to work on some content") or more along the lines of "whatever, just give me something easy to do here on the 'pedia"? AddWittyNameHere 02:26, 5 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Sure, I'll help you. Might be easier for you if we just keep this conversation on your user talkpage. I'll keep any eye on it through my watchlist. :) AddWittyNameHere 00:43, 7 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
What can i start with iam good with punction and grammar and more. Skoudco101 (talk) 00:46, 7 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
It's never a bad idea to do the Wikipedia Adventure to get the hang of how to edit. However, if you'd rather start working on articles immediately, that's okay too. Are there any specific subjects you would like to work with? If the subject doesn't matter a lot to you, there is a lot of work that needs to be done on many, many insect articles. For example, there's a couple hundred articles that use the incredibly awkward phrasing "is a genus of moth". That should really be "is a genus of moths", preferably with moths (or both genus and moths) wikilinked. (Do you know how to wikilink things? If not, I'm happy to explain it to you, but I'd rather not spend two paragraphs explaining something you already know)
Now, you do need to check the articles carefully. While my search linked above has most false positives filtered out, if "is a genus of moth" is part of something like "is a genus of moth family [Family-name]", that's perfectly fine and can stay. Same with things like "is a genus of moth flies" (though those should all be filtered out, I think). AddWittyNameHere 00:57, 7 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
