Speedy deletion of Luke murray mcalister edit

A tag has been placed on Luke murray mcalister, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

it's most likely a hoax since article name gives no google hits outside wikipedia, and besides a myspace link it's completely unsourced

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. TexMurphy (talk) 15:14, 19 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Response to your message on my talkpage edit

Thanks for the Haiku. I'm not quite ready to undelete the article, because I don't believe you are notable. Give me a link to an outside source that says you played football, for Liverpool, for 3 years. The link should include an official roster. And it cannot be myspace. I apologize Skippy, I don't use email for Wikipedia purposes. If you played for "liverpool reserves", whatever that means, I can only assume that you have not reached a level of notability required to be in Wikipedia, per our athlete guideline. There are thousands of reliable websites that include rosters of players for different teams, different divisions. Find me one, just one, that has your name on it. An email from a coach (an email I would have no way of verifying for accuracy) won't cut it. Cheers, Keeper ǀ 76 14:40, 21 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
I've left you one more message on my talkpage, then realized you probably might not know about how to use your "watchlist" and won't see it. Please, go back to my talkpage and see the message I left for you there. I hope you decide to stay on Wikipedia and add to other articles that you know about or want to learn about. If you need guidance for how to edit Wikipedia, I'll gladly help you along. It's actually great fun to see something that you've written that "sticks" to an article. August 2008 edit

Got your message. I'm a bit curious about your contribs from the last 24 hours. What's with this, andthis, among others? Your actually quite fortunate that you haven't gotten blocked completely from editing. Don't add that junk again please. As for Daniel Pacheco, the article isn't recreatable because it has been deleted like 8 times. This year. It's been the subject of a deletion discussion at least twice, for example here. It was unanimously decided to delete. Now, if something has changed since the most recent deletion discussion, for example he is now a notable player (see WP:FOOTYN to get guidance to decide if he is notable), then I'll help get it recreated. However, and this is the biggest thing - you need to give me a link to a website that has an official roster that includes his name, or any name of any footballer that you feel should have an article here. Without a reference or other indication of notability, I'm not going to allow a re-creation of the article (s). Nothing personal, just not for Wikipedia.
Also, please don't add another "diff" to your contribs (if you click here you can see the list of "what you've done") that contains you adding "personal size information" to any other article. If I see it again (you've done it 4 times with warnings already), I will personally block your account from editing for a week. Happy editing, Keeper ǀ 76 14:28, 26 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
(copied from my talkpage) That diff proves why Pacheco does not have and should not have a Wikipedia article (yet). It says he's played in exactly zero games. Nice looking kid, bucketloads of talent, will have an article here to worry about soon enough, but not yet. If/when he plays a game, shoot me a message. Keeper ǀ 76 15:13, 27 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
