Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button

BC leadership candidates edit
I want to stress that as an Ontarian, I'm not familiar enough with all the intricacies of BC politics to know exactly what's right and what's wrong in all the (apparently inevitable) controversies around various candidates in the current BC Liberal and BC NDP leadership races. However, you need to understand that Wikipedia has certain rules about how things operate here; one of them is that we need to maintain a neutral point of view.
For example, we have an extremely tight policy around biographies of living persons; we cannot and do not add living people to criminal categories such as Category:Forgers on the basis of an accusation; a person must actually be convicted of a crime by a court of law in order to be described or categorized as a criminal on here. It actually constitutes libel to assert that a person is a forger or a criminal if a court of law has not made such a determination, and both Wikipedia and you personally can actually be sued for it.
It's also not appropriate or acceptable to decide that controversies involving Liberals are off limits, but controversies involving NDPers are fair game; we are not biased in favour of or against any political party. Properly sourced content about political controversies is fair game regardless of which party the person belongs to.
And another rule around here is that you cannot get into an extended edit war over your preferred version of an article; in fact, you can be editblocked if you revert disputed content just three times without discussion, let alone the 12 or 15 times you seem to have done on some articles.
If you have concerns about the facts as written in our articles, you can present your concerns on the articles' talk pages for discussion and debate. However, you need to follow Wikipedia's proper processes for this; the way you've been going about it so far is not acceptable. Bearcat (talk) 06:17, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
