Grammar, POV edit

Hi. Please watch your grammar and please have a neutral tone in your writing. Also, please watch your tenses. At Rocco Lo Presti, the man is dead; you cannot use present and future tense. Thanks. Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 03:28, 6 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Once again. Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 20:34, 19 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
Please, if you're going to translate something from the Italian wiki to English, bring the sources along with it! If you need help with the English please ask me as there are unfortunately lots of mistakes at Lo Presti 'ndrina. Thanks. Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 13:39, 16 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Mazzaferro 'ndrina edit

Hello, Sirio69

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Mazzaferro 'ndrina for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons. For more details please see the notice on the article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

(Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

Lo Presti crime family ? edit

Hi, I have been looking at the article of the Lo Presti crime family and have serious doubts about whether such a crime family really exists, as I explained on the talk page. I have also deleted sections of the article because the references you have provided do not confirm the allegations you have been making. This violates Wikipedia:No original research and I have tagged the page accordingly. Could you please answer my questions on the talk page. - DonCalo (talk) 19:09, 29 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi Don Calo, what I reported on the Lo Presti crime family page is news taken from the articles in the newspapers of La Stampa of Turin and most of the time also articles with court sentences. Take your time and read the newspaper articles. If we were to give an account of the whole situation I could tell you, as you yourself tend to underline, the Lo Presti family does not exist given that Mr. Rocco Lo Presti had an immaculate criminal record up until the time of his death. His only sentence was the day before his death. The nephews continue to follow in their uncle's footsteps, even if they do not have the same surname and for her the Lo Presti family does not exist. Thanks Sirio69 (talk) 19:35, 29 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
In 1973 the Parliamentary Anti-Mafia Commission had to intervene in Bardonecchia, the first case of mafia presence in northern Italy, to ascertain the presence of organized crime in Piedmont. Go and read the Santillo dossier of the time drawn up by the Turin police commissioner at the time Emilio Santillo. Sirio69 (talk) 19:48, 29 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for your reply Sirio69. So, if I understand you correctly, you agree that the Lo Presti crime family does not exist. The more I check the references, the more I am convinced this a hoax. And, if his cousins the Ursino’s have taken over, why is it now not called the Ursino crime family? Anyway, I am going to propose the deletion of this page, since it also violates WP:BLP. - DonCalo (talk) 22:00, 29 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
The brothers Ursinos are nephews of Rocco Lo Presti, no cousins. They're kids then Lo Presti sister. Sirio69 (talk) 23:52, 29 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi Don Calo, regarding the removal of the page I don't completely agree with you. I would propose the change to 'ndrina or clan. Also because there's numerous evidence on the internet of the existence in Bardonecchia then a "local" of 'Ndranghta which dates back to the 1960s. There're lot of 'Ndrangheta justice witness who declare this. Rocco Varacalli, Francesco Fonti and others. There're court sentences that declare this. You say you have found "Lo Presti crime family" only on Wikipedia, but I think you have found "Organization headed by Rocco Lo Presti" or "Clan headed by Rocco Lo Presti" too. What's the difference? Where are your doubts about the existence or otherwise of the Lo Presti family? In my opinion, a group of several people can make an organization. In this case there are uncle and two nephews with related affiliates. You won't be told that Mr. Rocco Lo Presti committed all the crimes of which he was accused alone. There is numerous evidence on the internet, numerous newspaper articles taken from the archive of "La Stampa" of Turin and from other newspapers, weekly and monthly newspapers, Court decisions. So I would advise you not to limit your search to just "Fratelli di sangue" which I dispute nothing about. The Judge Gratteri and Nicaso are very authoritative people. I would suggest you take a look at other books such as: Mafie vecchie, Mafie nuove by Rocco Sciarrone. Mafias in movimento by Federico Varese and many others. Thank you Sirio69 (talk) 02:08, 31 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

The proper place to discuss this is here, so I moved your comment over there and would appreciate if you continue the discussion there. DonCalo (talk) 13:32, 31 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
