Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from The Book of Boba Fett into Draft:Chapter 1: Stranger in a Strange Land. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 14:02, 29 December 2021 (UTC)

DanCherek I forgot that attribution message, thanks for the reminder! – SirDot (talk) 14:05, 29 December 2021 (UTC)
No problem! Thanks for your work on the draft   I need to watch that episode later today. DanCherek (talk) 14:06, 29 December 2021 (UTC)

Max Dillion (film character)

Hey there ChannelSpider, could you nominate Max Dillion (film character) for speedy deletion as the sole author via WP:G7 as it is a misspelling of Max Dillon (film character)? I would have nominated it myself via WP:R3, but I don't know whether the redirect is still considered recent. Thanks! InfiniteNexus (talk) 06:50, 18 November 2021 (UTC)

Hi ChannelSpider, I don't mean to rush you or anything, but just wanted to make sure you saw my message. If you don't have Twinkle, you can nominate the redirect for speedy deletion by simply adding {{Db-g7}} to the top of the page. InfiniteNexus (talk) 05:58, 11 December 2021 (UTC)
Done, InfiniteNexus. Sorry for the long wait, was on a wikibreak. — ChannelSpider (talk) 13:43, 18 December 2021 (UTC)
No worries! I like your new name, by the way. InfiniteNexus (talk) 21:21, 18 December 2021 (UTC)

Clint Barton (Marvel Cinematic Universe)

I replaced Echoes (a disambiguation page) with Hawkeye (2021 TV series)#Episodes on Clint Barton (Marvel Cinematic Universe). If this isn't correct, please feel free to fix it! Leschnei (talk) 13:49, 1 January 2022 (UTC)

The correct link would be Echoes (Hawkeye), didn't notice the title is a disambiguation. — SirDot (talk) 19:32, 1 January 2022 (UTC)
Thanks! Leschnei (talk) 22:46, 1 January 2022 (UTC)

Peter Parker (Marvel Cinematic Universe)

Hi. Welcome to Wikipedia, and thanks for working to improve the site with your edit to Peter Parker (Marvel Cinematic Universe), as we really appreciate your participation. However, the edit had to be reverted, because Wikipedia cannot accept uncited material. Wikipedia requires that the material in its articles be accompanied by reliable, verifiable (usually secondary) sources explicitly cited in the article text in the form of an inline citation, which you can learn to make here. A commented-out note directing the reader to another article is not a substitute for this.

I know you've only been editing here since Sept 2020, but since you've accumulated over 7,000 edits, so in case you haven't been informed this by now, I thought I'd let you know. If you ever have any other questions about editing, or need help regarding the site's policies, just let me know by leaving a message for me in a new section at the bottom of my talk page. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 13:23, 30 January 2022 (UTC)

Hey, Nightscream. I was referring to the Peter MCU article, not Iron Man 2. I have reinstated the original revision and noted this could go to my talkpage or the article's. – SirDot (talk) 17:13, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
I have added the IM2 sources. – SirDot (talk) 17:16, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
Do not blank citation-supported content from Wikipedia articles, and replace it with uncited content, as you did with this edit to Peter Parker (Marvel Cinematic Universe]. When removing material, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. When adding material, it needs to be accompanied by citations that support it, as I explained above. The (main timeline) MCU Peter Parker's uncle has never been mentioned in a film or TV series. Nightscream (talk) 20:22, 15 February 2022 (UTC)
Nightscream, MCU articles don't add actor/film names in the FCB section, as with (played by Marisa Tomei) and Captain America: Civil War.... So, the source was also removed. Ben is mentioned in the infobox with a reliable source, so Ben does exist in the MCU and is supported by that episode of What If...? – the timeline only branched after (technically during) Ant-Man and the Wasp and Ben died around 2015. So, Ben does exist (and indirectly his parents) and per common practice to not add actor/film names in the FCB. Sorry for not adding an edit summary, I kinda forgot to do it.
  • Captain America: Civil War and facing the Vulture to Avengers Civil War (as with the original revision) and facing the Vulture
  • Parker's primary parent figure is May Parker (played by Marisa Tomei) to For the majority of his life, Parker was raised by his aunt May and uncle Ben.

The gaining of spider-powers could technically be added, too. – SirDot (talk) 05:07, 16 February 2022 (UTC)

@SirDot:
1. Can you cite the policy, guideline or consensus discussion that indicates that we cannot mention actors in FCBs?
2. The citation does not merely support the actor. It also supports the fact that May is Peter's primary parent figure. So even if what you said pursuant to point 1 were true, this doesn't justify removing the citation.
Thank you for pointing out the citation for Benin the Infobox. I've restored mention of him to the article body, albeit with wording that explicitly makes it clear with an out-universe (behind the scenes) explanation of what that reference was, and a citation for it. Great work. Thanks again. :-) Nightscream (talk) 18:22, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
