Hi,
I see you've updated the fonts list on this page - thanks! I was wondering if you have more information on the status of Sinhala support on computers? Hi sukh. Unlike tamil, sinhala is not supported by arial unicode or other standard fonts. Therefore it is necessary to download a font and tweak with your settings to get it running. Most sinhala webpages [1] use a non unicode font called kottu (iso 8859-1). This is done by substituting "a" with sinhala "ayanna" and so on. Rendering is pretty okay with most browsers, but IE tends to insert blanks between letters when you try to select words. Unicode fonts are less common although the people at sinhala wikipedia and the SL government try to use them.
Rendering works fine on firefox, although the fonts appear rough. However, you can only see gibberish on the firefox/ie title pages. Yahoo search on sinhala words also works fine although google seems to have problems from time to time.
I know very little about unicode. Sorry I cannot contribute more. But if you contact one of these people at [2] and [3] they would be able to help you out. One of the problems with most unicode fonts that I've used is the lack of some important letters like "pili" (vowel derivatives added to consonants to make them sound different). Hope this helps.

If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. As an editor from Sri Lanka, you are warmly invited to join the official Wikimedia Community User Group Sri Lanka and to subscribe to its mailing list, Wikimedia-LK. The user group currently includes volunteers from Wikipedia and other projects, from the English, Sinhala, and Tamil speaking communities. The article Asian Tribune has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline and the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (companies) requirement. WP:BEFORE did not reveal any significant English-language coverage on Gnews, Gbooks or Gscholar. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page here in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back through WP:ECHO or by leaving a note at User talk:Piotrus. Thank you.
