Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Lewaigue railway station, did not appear to be constructive and has been removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. AfD nomination of Ballajora Halt

edit

I have nominated Ballajora Halt, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ballajora Halt. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Hi - thanks for uploading the photos of Styal and Handforth stations. However, I'm concerned that they may not meet Wikipedia's strict copyright policy, in that you appear to have copied the photographs from websites that have not released the images under GFDL. Could I ask what the situation is here please. Thanks. —  Tivedshambo  (t/c) 12:26, 7 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Unfortunately, as I can find no evidence that you've had permission for these photos, I've had to delete them. —  Tivedshambo  (t/c) 16:32, 7 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Isle of Man articles missing coordinates

edit

I believe that you are interested in articles about the Isle of Man, so I hope the following might be useful. I've added a new hidden category, Category:Isle of Man articles missing geocoordinate data, which lists articles which need to be geocoded: see WP:GEOCODE for more information on how to add these coordinates. Articles can be added to this category using the template tag {{coord missing|Isle of Man}}; when you have geocoded an article, you should then remove the tag. -- The Anome (talk) 09:12, 4 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
