If all this Wikicode is a little overwhelming, this cheatsheet may help untangle it.

If you're looking for a tutorial of sorts, The Wikipedia Adventure is a good option.

And if you need more help, I'd recommend getting live help at the Wikipedia help chat channel: click here to join. Additionally, you could ask me on my talk page, try the Teahouse (a help page for new users) or click here to ask for help here on your talk page and a volunteer will visit you here shortly

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. Again, welcome, and have fun editing! Howicus (Did I mess up?) 00:26, 7 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Cave Game Tech

edit

The article Cave Game Tech has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unremarkable game which was never made, no obvious coverage in reliable sources.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. 1Potato2Potato3Potato4 (talk) 18:16, 16 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Cave Game Tech Test

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Cave Game Tech Test requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Pre-classic. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. help

edit

I am now allowed to edit semi-protected articles. I needed to edit Minecraft because it doesn't have information of the Pre-Alpha, and then I get nervous. And I can't make an article about Cave Game (the pre-alpha). I just did, but it redirects to Minecraft because Cave Game Tech Test is the same as Minecraft, and everytime when I make one, it gets speedily deleted.

I need some useful wikitext markup to make my paragraph more interesting and more durable. I would appreciate someone's help. ✔️defs (talk)

Hello, first of all, calm down. Wikipedia will not disappear, nothing is urgent. A good place to start would be reading wp:Notability and wp:copyrights. The trouble with your edits does not seem to be wikimarkup, but those policies. If you have any questions about them or about editing once you have read them, please replace the helpme tag. Hope that helps! Happy Squirrel(Please let me know how to improve!) 00:17, 23 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

well I have no idea what is wikitext markup. Maybe it's called a script? What is it called

Anyway, thanks for da help. ✔️defs (talk) 00:54, 24 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Wikimarkup is a simple markup language, like html or tex, except much simpler. Basically, when you edit in the text editor, you are just entering plain text. However, we want nicely formatted Wikipedia text. So we have a few simple key combinations that produce specific objects. Some basic ones include:
  • Bulleted lists are made by putting an asterisk * at the start of each line.
  • Indentation (used to make it clear who is talking to whom) is achieved by putting one or more colons : at the start of a line.
  • Wiki links are obtained by surrounding text with double square brackets [[]]. You can also pipe links with a |. For example a link to my user page
There is much more, but this is the stuff I use every day.Happy Squirrel(Please let me know how to improve!) 01:18, 24 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
For a more complete manual, try Help:Wiki markup. Hope that helps! Happy Squirrel(Please let me know how to improve!) 01:20, 24 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

no im talking about like advanced wikimarkup[1]. Like collaspible tables

Theese never work for me
See

And I also went to the cheat sheet for this. I forgot the link anyway. What is the link for the cheatsheet anyway ✔️defs (talk)

Help:Cheatsheet is the link to the cheatsheet. I have never used advanced wikimarkup except for referencing, but I think a full list of commands is linked from there. Happy Squirrel(Please let me know how to improve!) 17:45, 25 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
