Recent edit to El Chal

However, it does have the following info indicating its regional importace:

"During the Terminal Classic, El Chal maintained its primary place in the San Juan valley"

"The continued importance of El Chal in the Terminal Classic resulted in other centres in the region being eclipsed, such as El Edén and El Tigrillo to the west and Copoja, La Puente and El Ocote to the southeast."

Archaelogy articles

Simon, thanks for your note on my talk page. as you can appreciate I need all the help I can get. I would like to ask for your help in reviewing both versions of any one of the articles and give me ideas in how to improve, including references. I am liking interacting with english Wikipedia, very proactive, the spanish W crowd is different, for some reason. The aim of my effort can be seen, for example, in the Iximche article, love the english version, but in spanish.... What I am doing is ensuring the entire text is available in both versions, some day I will translate the complete Iximche article to Spanish (for now I am working alphabetically in Mexico), also in some cases, there is either no spanish or no english version. That's great. If you want to take a look, I originally wrote Takalik Abaj in English, and have translated it onto the Spanish wiki, see [here]. If you look at the coding, it will give you an idea of how to improve refs. If you have any specific questions, just ask - English or Spanish is fine. Simon, when you have a chance, take a look at Huamelulpan (archaeological site), has important references to Abaj Takalik, as it seems there were important relations and trade among the two and of course many others. At the same time, woould like to ask for your comments on the article in general. I have tought that the part about routes and trade, perhaps belongs on a separate article by itself. Non neutral "DYK" based on false claims

Need a little hlep

Simon, just noticed an error with two articles on the same site, I created a while back the Article Barajas (archaeological site), and come to find out, there is another article on the same site, but under the name "Plazuelas". I have just visited the site and have some notes and pictures to add, but firts would like to get the problem corrected. The name Barajas comes from the hill where the site is located, probably used by archaeologists, Plazuelas is the local name used. I just checked my copy of Arqueología Mexicana #92, and the map shows two archaeological sites, Plazuelas and Cerro Barajas further southeast - so they appear to be different sites. The same issue of the magazine has articles on both (p.44 for Plazuelas and p.52 for Cerro Barajas. Article summaries are available here (Plazuelas) and here (Cerro Barajas). Hope this helps. hey.. Im expanding the Cholula page right now. (I work offline but I should have it done by Monday or Tues) I have enough sources for the section on the pyramid for that article, which is about the city in general, but Im having trouble finding decent sources to expand the Cholula Pyramid page to something decent. It's looking very good - we can probably shuffle some of the sections around though, similar themes are sometimes in different places. Maybe "Excavation history" could be dropped as a subjection into Modern history, and we currently have building descriptions in two different places.
