@HJ Mitchell: Hello! I notice you have blocked me because my account is being "only used for vandalism". I'm confused at this as as far as I can tell I changed the name of a single page and then as part of a similar thing joked around on an admin's account a bit.

There was no harassment I think? of the admin, I certainly wasn't trying to intimidate or threaten and I think it's a stretch to say my 3 comments were any sort of pattern of targeted harassment given that well, they were only 3 comments.

What confuses me is I was blocked only once I asked serious questions about vandalism instead of being responded to: can you explain why this is the case? Silopsone (talk) 23:16, 8 November 2023 (UTC)

This is really pretty simple. You conducted two edits that were vandalism [1][2]. You then spent a fair bit of effort trying to defend it as all "factual". You then made it clear your edits were a "joke" and you didn't seem to think it was vandalism. Guess what? It is vandalism. No, I'm not going to sit here and argue with you about whether it was vandalism or not. It was. If you doubt that, please read Wikipedia:Vandalism. You don't need us to explain it to you. If, after reading that, you still think what you did wasn't vandalism, then there's a serious competence issue, and you shouldn't be editing here anyway. Regardless, I support the indefinite block. You're clearly WP:NOTHERE to help build the encyclopedia, but instead use it as some sort of joke playground. You're in the wrong place. So you can either make an unblock request on this talk page that is legitimate, that acknowledges your vandalism, and your assertion it will never happen again, or you're done here. Sure, you can create another account and do it again. And that will be blocked too. We've blocked thousands upon thousands of accounts here. You're not the first. Also, your ping to HJ Mitchell didn't work because you didn't sign your post in the same post as where the ping was made [3]. I'll do it for you (@HJ Mitchell:) but I seriously doubt the response will be much different. If you keep using this talk page for meta discussions about whether what you did was vandalism or not, it's likely you won't be able to edit this page either.
