Re:Matilda Ziegler

Thanks, I keep meaning to add some of her theatre credits into the article too.

She was brilliant in EastEnders, one of the best characters from the early years. Unfortunately they dont replay any of those episodes in the UK either. I was quite young when she was in it, but I still remember her death and it was pretty gruesome. You might be able to get hold of some of the early episodes on ebay. I had a friend who bought quite a few cheap dvd's from someone in America who had recorded them. I think they have been repeated more recently over there. Swiss Toni is due to be released in the UK on DVD soon I think. Until then you could always try youtube.com, they have many clips of television programmes, they might even have some early clips from EastEnders. Gungadin 13:42, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

This article has been put up for deletion before, where no consensus was meet. It can stand on it's own feet, and breaks no policies. Please use the talk page for the article so it can be discussed. Havok (T/C/c) 11:04, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

You recently edited ModTheSims2. Please help wikipedia come to a concencus as to weather or not this article merits inclusion in wikipedia at Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/ModTheSims2_(2nd_nomination) Thanks. --Kunzite 21:43, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

extraordinary?

You removed the section "One extraordinary episode" from NCIS a while back. It was recently re-added and discussed on the talk page. I agreed with your reasoning for its removal, but wondered what your input on it would be now. — pd_THOR | =/\= | 15:16, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

Undone sorting of Template:The Sims series.

Hi. Your recent revert of Template:The Sims series [1] was not accompanied by any edit summaries, so I had to undo the revert, due to the lack of justifications and basis behind the edit. The reason behind the new arrangement is because the current alignment is basically headless (lacking the name of the entire series). The current "The Sims series (PC)" heading is misleading, implying that the navigation box is only referring to PC titles only. I tried a third heading at the top, but it proved to be too cluttered, so I thought of a more horizontal approach to the design. Comments were expected, not unexplained reversions.

If there are any objections to this discussion, perhaps we can bring this up in the talk page and work for a compromise. Thanks. ╫ 25 ◀RingADing▶ 10:57, 6 November 2006 (UTC) ╫

The Simpsons Movie

Please stop removing the indefinite section from the The Simpsons Movie article. I believe it meets Wikipedia guidelines for content, and strongly object to you removing it without first gaining consensus on the talk page. I will continue to revert your unsubstantiated deletions until this is discussed. si»abhorreo»T 13:39, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

Again, please DO NOT REMOVE ANYTHING until we reach consensus on the matter. Leaving a message on my talk page to discuss it is good, but don't go and start deleting things without waiting for a response. Now, I saw you agreeing with what Xubelox said on my talk page. Perhaps you can see where he and I left off on discussing this issue (when he dropped the issue) on his talk page, and if you still disagree, we can continue from there. I look forward to resolving this si»abhorreo»T 01:07, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

Sillygostly, you are not judge jury and excecutioner. You must prove your point and abide by Wikipedia guidelines before acting on a contested issue. Please don't escelate this. si»abhorreo»T 06:47, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

There is also only one person supporting it's removal, and if you look at what happened a bit earlier today, you will see that a second user, user:Scorpion0422 also reverted your changes. The fact that it's 2v1 doesn't neccesaraly change anything, consensus still needs to be reached before changing the current state of the article, eg, deleting the section. si»abhorreo»T 06:50, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
As you'll note in this [2] section of the talk page, I agree that that part might not be appropriate. What I am objecting to is you removing it without gaining consensus first. At the very least, this is something that needs to be discussed first. si»abhorreo»T 07:00, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

I removed your edits...

...from List of computer and video games with female protagonists because although The Sim and The Urbz can be played with a female protagonist, there is no restriction in the games that they must be played with a female protagonist. Did you not read the introduction to the list? —Metamorf 00:48, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

No summary; it must be vandalism.

I have to question your removal of information from The Sims Life Stories. (See your edit 18:39, January 6, 2007.) I am thinking of treating that edit as vandalism as you failed to provide a summary. I saw nothing about that information (without really knowing the article) to conclude that it did not belong. If it didn't, your summary should have explained why. Will (Talk - contribs) 04:45, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

Then you need to say so in the summary. The one problem is that the wikEd editing tool is removing summaries from the box when you attempt to save. I figure Cacycle will fix that shortly. Will (Talk - contribs) 04:05, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

O.C. ages

I made a discussion topic about in on The O.C.'s talk page but no one has replied. Basically, I thought we needed a uniform description of their ages. 'Cause I'm ever so lazy I'll just copy-paste what I said earlier.

"We really need a set way to refer to the characters ages in their pages. Current ways are "49 (flashforward) 44 (last appearance)" "19 (last appearance) 15 (first appearance)" "15(turning 16)-19" "21 (2012 Flashforward) 16 (Last Appearence) 12-13 (First Appearance)" or just "18" their last appearence age.

I think just their age _before_ the flashback should be listed, perhaps with a "(last appearence)". As we don't know how far into the future it goes, we see Ryan at uni in 2012 then he's running a building site which I presume would be a few more years in the future. Cherries Jubilee 05:46, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

As no one replied, I was bold and edited all their ages to say "__ (last appearence)" and if they appear in the flashforward before that it says "__ (flashforward)". If we just have the flash forward as their last appearence people could get very confused as to why Ryan is 24 and Trey is 21, and weren't they all just in high school? Cherries Jubilee 06:26, 7 March 2007 (UTC) Retrieved from "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:The_O.C."

I know the flashforward and last appearnece terminology sucks as it was their last appearence but I wanted to differeniate the ages of those who had flashforwarded from those who hadn't and as I said, explain why they're suddenly so oooooooold. Ta. Cherries Jubilee 03:29, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

Okay, let's try the flashforward as last appearence and see how it goes and just have last appearence age listed for all. If there's no or few complaints or confusion, I'm fine with maintaining it like that. Cherries Jubilee 11:07, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

Revert to Theme Park (Nintendo DS)

Hello, You removed pictures, "Gameplay"-section and a source from Theme Park (Nintendo DS) with "total mess" in the edit summary. I can understand the images mess up the layout but why did you remove the text and sources? Was it an oversight or is there a problem with the text? For now I assume the former so I've reverted your edit but without the pictures. --Nitku 07:50, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:FGCB15.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:FGCB15.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:13, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

You know what?

If something is speculative, source does not matter. If someone tells you not to do something because of something, LISTEN. You have made many mistakes, and these are just two of them. Have you listened to others ever in your pathetic, meaningless life? THINK BEFORE YOU EDIT.

If it is speculative, who gives even a TENTH of a crap who it is from? It may be original research, but what do you think the MAGAZINES did? ORIGINAL RESEARCH. I find no point in your actions except to p155 us off. As I said, THINK before you edit.--Ihitterdal 15:55, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

Unspecified source for Image:Kellyrowan_2.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Kellyrowan_2.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Ratings

It is standard to put in parenthesis what the ESRB, PEGI, and CERO ratings stand for (for example: "M (Mature)"). So please stop removing them. I have edited hundreds of video game articles and this is the standard use. TJ Spyke 02:46, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

MAYBE when it comes to OFLC (although I think they should be included). However, you can't use others mistakes as justification for removing parts of the rating. Hell, both the letter and word are included with ESRB (check out boxes, you would see both "M" and "Mature" in the rating). TJ Spyke 03:00, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
OFLC's site doesn't seem to mention any "E" rating. According to the site, video game ratings are "G", "PG", "MA", and "MA 15+". Movie ratings also include "R 18" and "X 18+". [5]. I can accept just using the symbol for OFLC. I still say ESRB and CERO should continue using the current standard (symbol and what it stands for). TJ Spyke 03:16, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
So it's basically means that the title is unrated, but not banned like titles that the OFLC refuses to rate? TJ Spyke 03:20, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
Will you please stop screwing with the ratings? You are the only one who does this, what does that tell you? I can't revert Mario Strikers Charged again today, but I am letting you know that you are wrong. I agreed to not add the OFLC back, but I will start doing it again if you keep screwing up the ESRB rating. TJ Spyke 00:51, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
Sorry if I sounded rude. I thought we had come to an undertstanding that we would let OFLC ratings just use the letter, but ESRB and CERO would use the full rating (i.e. "T (Teen)"). TJ Spyke 00:58, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
I can understand your point of view. I am just not convinced though. Maybe we should get the opinions of the general community (WP:VG). TJ Spyke 02:34, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

Comment about Bully (video game)

A port with a few new things doesn't justify a completely new infobox. It's not only clutter, but it's very unnecessary. It's not misleading or anything of the sort. See Resident Evil 4 for a good example of a game that's been ported numerous times (and only has 1 infobox). I can find other examples as well. RobJ1981 (talk) 14:47, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

It isn't misleading. How in the hell is Bully and Resident Evil 4 any different? Both had several versions of the SAME game, and they were both released on different dates. The infobox is organized and people can read the dates and information for each version differently. In the case of seperate articles for ports: there is very few of them overall. Bully certainly doesn't justify a new article for the Wii port that has a few new things. Which articles have 2 infoboxes for the same game? I started a discussion here: Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Video_games#Should_a_game_article_have_2_infoboxes.3F about this. RobJ1981 (talk) 14:12, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

My edit comments in GTA IV

I just want to clarify something to avoid any sort of misunderstanding. My GTA IV edits that appear after yours might be construable as being aimed at you (seeing as you edited the same bit of the article - the Aeroplane/Airplane- in the previous edit to mine). I just wanted to make it clear that they aren't aimed at you in any way and ended up being terse due to my mounting frustration at the ENGVAR discussion on the discussion page. - X201 (talk) 16:09, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

fly plane = ambiguous?

Have you flown on any planes of existence lately? LOL xenocidic (talk) 00:33, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Ratings format

OK, thats fine. I never really thought about it, but it seemed to me that ESRB ratings were normally referenced by spelling out their ratings, while other rating systems are normally abbreviated. But when it comes to templates having similar formatting, I agree with you, so I will stick to the abbreviations. MrKIA11 (talk) 01:17, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

Two quick things

Regarding this [6] actually since Fry is his own grandfather he is also the great...grandfather of every descendant of himself or Yancy so technically it's correct. That being said, it still didn't belong in the infobox since it's a one off joke so I have no issues with you removing it. Secondly, you've been making a lot of Futurama edits lately, have you considered coordinating with Wikiproject Futurama? I didn't see your name on the participants list but I thought you might be interested. The project isn't very active right now but we're always looking for fresh blood new participants. Keep up the good work. Stardust8212 05:46, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

You're certainly welcome to continue without joining, I just wanted to make sure you were aware of the project. If you're interested in removing speculation from the articles you might check out my proposal (here) to move unsourced cultural reference material to the talk pages, might be right up your alley. Happy editing. Stardust8212 15:10, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

Ratings

The ratings organization themselves aren't the same. While OFLC mayb not use a letter and word, ESRB does. This isn't a big issue, but most articles use both and I think it should be brought up at WP:VG if you think we should do something else since there are thousands of articles that would be affected. TJ Spyke 01:06, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

Because the ESRB rating use the full names (i.e. E (Everyone)). Besides, I thought we had settles this issue a few weeks ago, apparently you decided to start up again. TJ Spyke 01:13, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
