ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Soil measuring and surveying device

Dear Sillerkiil,

You added an illustration to the Soil wikipage. This is great! However, would it be possible to add a reference to a paper or a webpage describing the device? This would help the reader to better understand what is measured and how. Do you agree?

Mpemba effect

Great video on Mpemba effect, but it doesn't appear to be illustrating the effect as described, there's nothing in the article text about throwing boiling water into the air, and this talk page discussion questions some images that were removed in 2019.

I'd guess that throwing boiling steam into the air wasn't actually a significantly faster freeze than spraying mist droplets of the same size but cold. --Belbury (talk) 15:13, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
