editThank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I've noticed that you've been adding your signature to some of your article contributions, such as the edit you made to Kawasaki GPZ1100B1/B2. This is a simple mistake to make and is easy to correct. For future reference, the need to associate edits with users is taken care of by an article's edit history. Therefore, you should use your signature only when contributing to talk pages, the Village Pump, or other such discussion pages. For a better understanding of what distinguishes articles from these type of pages, please see What is an article?. Again, thanks for contributing, and enjoy your Wikipedia experience! Thank you. Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Kawasaki GPZ1100B1/B2. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Triwbe (talk) 13:49, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

editPlease do not add unsourced content, as you did to GPz1100. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Chzz ► 02:28, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
This is your last warning. You will be blocked from editing the next time you vandalize a page, as you did with this edit to Kawasaki GPZ1100B1/B2. Alansohn (talk) 02:37, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
This is an automated message from VWBot. I have performed a search with the contents of GPz1100B2, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Kawasaki GPZ1100B1/B2. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. VWBot (talk) 03:20, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of GPZ1100, and it appears to include material copied directly from https://www.z-power.co.uk/merchantmanager/view_information.php?pId=35.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. Thanks I have written some pages but the new ones are deleted as soon as I save them.. tried to sandbox one but it was removed almost instantly by someone! --Sid.young (talk) 04:48, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
Welcome - a few pointers
editWelcome to the project. If you don't mind I would like to give you a few pointers.
- Your articles need to have more conventional introductions - see what I have done to Kawasaki GPZ1100, for example, with bold text for the subject of the article. There is no need for an introduction section - the introductory paragraph, known as the "lead" in Wikispeak, should stand alone with no section heading.
- You should read WP:MOSNUM which is the manual of style for numbers. Numbers under 10 are generally written (except in infoboxes) so, for example, you would have a four-cylinder engine not a 4-cylinder engine. Numbers over 999 should always have a comma e.g. 1,000. Units of measure should always be separated using a non-breaking space e.g. 1,098 cc
- It really helps if you give metric/imperial conversions. The {{convert}} template helps with this and conveniently does the number formatting (commas and non-breaking spaces) for you.
- Article names for bikes should included the manufacturer. e.g. Kawasaki GPZ1100. You can use the "Move" function to rename an article - or shout if you need help.
- Avoid external links which could be considered spam e.g. companies selling parts for bikes - even if they have a page containing what you perceive to be useful information. WP:ELNO is a good set of guidlines on which links should be avoided.
- Don't use HTML formatting e.g. <br> in the body of an article. You don't need to insert blank lines in a section - let the system take care of the blank lines before and after a section heading.
You are doing some good work and I would be very happy to give you any help you may need. --Biker Biker (talk) 08:21, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
Combining articles
editGiven the similarity between the B1 and B2 models, I didn't see the need for three separate articles i.e. B1/B2, B1 and B2, so I have redirected the B1 and B2 articles to the combined one. Obviously if there is anything that has been lost you can go back to the version history of the B1 or B2 articles and copy/past across to the combined one. Once again, if there is anything that I can help you with don't hesitate to ask. it is good to have a new editor who is so keen on producing bike articles. --Biker Biker (talk) 08:59, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
External links
editHi. Please note that adding links to your own websites or blogs is borderline self-promotion. And certainly don't mark those edits as "minor". -- intgr [talk] 01:00, 29 June 2014 (UTC)
