Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in this edit to Government of India. Inappropriate links include links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that serve as advertising or promotion. I have removed that link from the page as well..Wikipedia is not an advertising space for job sites..  arun  talk  16:11, 10 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
OK..One more time..Look Wikipedia should not be used for advertising purposes. Websites such as blogs, job sites, marriage bureau sites or other such sites should not be included in any pages of Wikipedia. Doing so will be considered as adding spam. Websites such as govt websites, edu websites are accepted. In your case, the link you placed in Government of India page do not provide any clue on the subject. After all, the people reading this article will be interested in working of the government system in India rather than looking for some jobs provided by the govt.  arun  talk  16:26, 10 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Got it Arun. So this means that any links to job websites are not allowed. We can only include links to related content which is helpful to Wikipedia Readers. Shwir (talk) 16:31, 10 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yep, you got it. Read what should be linked if you want more info. --NeilN talk to me 16:42, 10 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
Then all solved..Happy editing... :) arun  talk  16:44, 10 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thank Neil for sharing the link. Arun, But I would like to clarify one thing that I am not associated with any of the websites which I added. I have only been using these websites in my career and found them to be a great source.I think that is what Wikipedia is all about. To share whatever knowledge and information you have (adhering to guidelines). I will be more careful in future. This is just a beginning of my journey here. Shwir (talk) 16:46, 10 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sounds good. If you have any other questions just let us know. --NeilN talk to me 16:49, 10 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
