Speedy deletion nomination of Boise gun club

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Boise gun club requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Eeekster (talk) 04:27, 10 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

April 2011

edit

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Boise gun club. Please use the {{hang on}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 04:39, 10 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to upload media files lacking copyright information, you may be blocked from editing. If you are unsure of the correct copyright template, please refer to the list of image copyright tags or ask at the copyright question page. MrKIA11 (talk) 16:42, 10 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for File:Ward harold.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Ward harold.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 17:05, 10 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Memorials

edit

Please read this re your mug shot uploads. Even if you have proper permission to upload these images (which I doubt), please do not do so - Wikipedia is not for memorials. The list of deceased members belongs on the club's website not here.

Exception: providing you have permission from the photographer (the webmaster is irrelevant), you may upload File:Club facilities 2009-01.jpg to the Commons. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:53, 10 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Boise Gun Club

edit

The article Boise Gun Club has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Based on primary sources. No assertion of notability. Just another club.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
