This account is my personal account.. I work for Niama13 and we were talking about it at lunch so I created an account using my personal email address..

Please unlock this account. It is not a 'sockpuppet'. I did not post anything or change anything with this account other than to ask that question. Why would I create another account when Niama13 was still active?

The reason I created an account is I do not have Heinz's password.

  • So what do you propose to write about if we unblock you? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:41, 14 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

I was acutally thinking of doing some work on the Trixbox entry. I have worked with Trixbox quite a bit. I'm the IT Administrator where I work (half the reason I wound up in the middle of this mess) I have many things I can write about should I find the time.

What bugs me the most is the 'sockpuppet' label.. Simply because I setup this account at work. We have a static IP address at work on RoadRunner business band. You can reverse lookup the IP address and varify the IP belongs to the business.

I realize the stress's the admins are under but I feel I've been unfairly caught up in this.

BTW shootmeplz is a handle I've been using for a long time I started using it a long time ago, if i had to guess prolly sometime between 2000 and 2001 back when you could google it and nothing came up. I was the first. I used it as my contact email for online first person shooter gaming... shootmeplz[at]hotmail[dot]com

This account would from here out be only used for personal stuff.

  • Thanks for explaining your position. Frankly, the engine sounds like a truly exciting invention, but if it's only in the development stage, an article simply isn't warranted. I've assumed good faith and unblocked your account per your request. I'm sorry about the less-than-friendly reception at first, but I hope we can move forward from here. Welcome aboard! PS: I've unblocked Niama13 as well. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 03:13, 15 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

And I have now reblocked your co-worker. Please refer to my talk page if you wish to know why. I assumed good faith with both of you and he saw fit to throw me under the bus. I thank you for not doing so. PMDrive1061 (talk) 22:39, 15 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

I heard.. Thank you for not blocking my account.

Shootmeplz (talk) 22:43, 15 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Of course. You did nothing wrong and I thought I'd resolved the issue with the other gentleman, but legal threats are grounds for an immediate block per this section. I did nothing to defame or besmirch the project; I simply did what I thought was right and reversed my error. As long as the legal threat stands, he has to stay blocked, I'm afraid. Please tell him that this is a tertiary source of information; anyone who comes here does so looking for information that's already in general circulation. When the engine is in production, it will be more than article-worthy and yes, people will likely visit this site to research it. I hope that's of some consolation, but as I said, legal threats=block. PMDrive1061 (talk) 22:52, 15 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

IMHO I didn't see a legal threat. I know the letter he wrote to Wikimedia was about the issues he had been having here with editing/deletion and the reasons used. I do not recall him ever mentioning a lawsuit online. The comment he posted on your talk page with the note is now gone so I cannot verify what exactly it contained.
