going live and having my article reviewed

edit

I moved my article from sandbox into the "article" section. I'm not sure if its live or not but I dont see it in the main wikipedia page. i'd like to have it reviewed to know if it will be accepted as well as be instructed on how to go live. Shomburg (talk) 06:55, 11 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

It is "live". It is there at Sean C. If you had wanted it to be reviewed before being moved to mainspace you could have gone through the article creation process, but now that you've moved it straight to mainspace you can wait and see whether anyone objects to the article where it is. - David Biddulph (talk) 18:44, 11 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
Thank you David Biddulph, I appreciate your response, this is my first time creating a page and I've been working on it for awhile. I guess I got a little impatient. I wasn't sure if i was live or not. How long does it usually take for review? I think I've been up for a couple days now without knowing.Shomburg (talk) 18:59, 11 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
When I thought it wasn't live i moved the it from article to Wikipedia. Does that make a difference? Shomburg (talk) 19:07, 11 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
The Wikipedia: prefix is for things like policy and guidance documents on how to use Wikipedia. Another editor saw your error and moved the article back from Wikipedia:Sean C to Sean C. - David Biddulph (talk) 11:15, 12 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

going live and getting my article reviewed

How can I make my article live from sandbox? Shomburg (talk) 17:43, 11 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Shomburg. You have new messages at Wikipedia:Teahouse/Questions#How_do_I_move_my_article_from_sandbox.3F.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

I have added more reference material and fixed my category problem. Is this more acceptable? Shomburg (talk) 22:51, 11 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

I'm wondering why my article doesnt come up when I google search the name of the article. How can I make it available in the google search engine?

Hi there Shomburg; it'll appear soon when google has updated its databases and then it will probably be first result. Rcsprinter (gossip) No, I'm Santa Claus!@ 23:49, 14 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
