You just blocked this IP (which certainly needed it) but did you see the note from AIV Helperbot:

I haven't met one of those before. The guideline says "you are required to immediately notify the Wikimedia Foundation Communications Committee." I semi-protected the article for 3 days, in case they come back from another IP. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 17:28, 24 May 2013 (UTC)

Yup, thanks for double-checking on me. I actually already fired off an email. Thanks, Shirik (Questions or Comments?) 17:28, 24 May 2013 (UTC)
Good. I was afraid you might have picked up the edit-war by some means other than AIV, and so not seen the warning. Cheers, JohnCD (talk) 18:06, 24 May 2013 (UTC)
Oh, I did :) I was notified about it on IRC and addressed it accordingly. And then someone (fortunately) pointed out to me that same message. But I appreciate your coming here too because if that person hadn't, I wouldn't have noticed. (We really should have a bot for this, but I guess it doesn't happen very often.) --Shirik (Questions or Comments?) 21:10, 24 May 2013 (UTC)

Thank You

Hello Administrator Shirik,

Thank you for considering my unblock appeal. I greatly appreciate it. --JustBerry (talk) 16:43, 28 May 2013 (UTC)

Why was this editor unblocked? He has been completely untruthful and has attempted to deceive the community. He has canvassed around to get unblocked. As the original blocking admin, I would have appreciated being consulted regarding this. --Rschen7754 18:34, 28 May 2013 (UTC)
Mostly I didn't contact you because I misread the block log and didn't realize you were the original blocking admin. Let's talk about this a little bit, though. If you wish to reblock him I don't have a problem with it, but so far I have only seen useful contributions since the unblock. My inclination based on the detailed unblock request I received was to apply WP:ROPE and leave it at that. I will email you the unblock request if you have your email account linked. --Shirik (Questions or Comments?) 18:50, 28 May 2013 (UTC)
Yes, you can send me the email. --Rschen7754 21:31, 28 May 2013 (UTC)
