March 2018 edit

  Hello, I'm Oshwah. I noticed that in this edit to Racists Anonymous, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 01:27, 15 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

  Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Racists Anonymous, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 01:29, 15 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

It's a bad idea to edit pages where you have a conflict of interest edit

  Hello, Shetours. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the article Racists Anonymous, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 01:39, 15 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the helpful info. Perhaps, I am not the first new user that tried to correct misinformation by just adding the true info. My apologies. Have a pleasant evening.

  You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove or blank page content or templates from Wikipedia, as you did at Racists Anonymous. General Ization Talk 01:47, 15 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

  Please do not add or change content, as you did at Racists Anonymous, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. It is critical for you to add independent reliable sources because of your conflict of interest. The information you're adding must be demonstrably true based on sources not connected to you or the organization.C.Fred (talk) 01:48, 15 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
