Copyright problem
editHello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the Dan Herman article, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.
You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later."

- In that case, please follow the advice I have given to you: either include a notice that you agree to release the text under the GFDL license on your website ([1]), or e-mail the Wikipedia Foundation (permissions-en[AT]wikimedia[DOT]org) to confirm that you are the copyright holder and release the text under that license.
The other problem is that your article has read a bit too much like a promotional peace (Wikipedia policy is that articles are to be written in a neutral manner). Finally, an article about Dan Herman was already deleted once (see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dan Herman). Granted, it was two years ago; but you should probably consult our inclusion guidelines to see if he is notable enough to have an article on Wikipedia.

- You seem to be right; the deleted Dan Herman was connected with "New Paradigm Learning Corporation" and is apperently different from the one you have created an article about. - Mike Rosoft (talk) 11:41, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
