EVE Online edits

edit

Hi Shatner. Your efforts to spruce up the EVE Online page are appreciated. I have a couple requests which I hope you don't mind. When changing content (i.e. not just formatting), could you please avoid using minor edits? Also edit summaries on as many edits as possible would really help, especially when we're looking over a large number of edits. It makes it easier to keep track of which edits made what changes, rather than having to keep checking the diffs on each one to tell them apart. :) Thanks! Have a good one. -- Battlehamster 21:15, 7 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I work as a contractor for Best Buy Corporate, so my work IP falls within a blocked range. I enjoy editing and updating Wikipedia, but have always been blocked from editing while in breaks due to the IP ban issue. By the time I get home, I typically don't remember what I was going to edit, so it never gets done. I'd very much enjoy being exempt from this blocks so I may continue editing Wikipedia in the small amount of free time I find myself with these days.

Accept reason:

TNG episodes moved to own page

edit

Hello Shatner, I must of missed something, could you please provide a link to the discussion about moving all these list to their own pages, I must of been under a rock while it was open. Thanx. Mlpearc (powwow) 14:42, 28 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

There wasn't ever a discussion about moving these out into their own pages. It really just seemed like something we should do as seasons 1-3 already follow this pattern. In an effort to standardize everything on the list page, moving the seasons and their episode lists out to their own articles was just something I undertook. If you want me to revert all of it, I can...but it doesn't seem like something that will violate any of the Wikipedia guidelines. And I don't see a compelling reason not to do it. Shatner (talk) 14:58, 28 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
No, don't revert. I was just surprised to see these changes and my first thought was I missed the talk. Thanx for the reply. Cheers. Mlpearc (powwow) 15:03, 28 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, I decided to take on the episode list page cleanup. The first thing I wanted to do was to unify everything on the overall list, which meant moving the seasons themselves out. After I'm done with the overall list, I'll be moving on to the season articles, unifying them and cleaning them up. I see a couple places where we need templates to standardize everything.
