You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Austin Mahone discography. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. -→Davey2010→→Talk to me!→ 03:41, 20 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Ignored/removed warnings and failure to resist a block

edit

You have ignored and removed all of the warnings that I gave you ([1] and [2], despite you claiming they were attacks when they were not pertaining to your edits on the Bridgit Mendler. An ANI discussion was already started about you and you couldn't even bother to comment on it or resist a block from editing. IPadPerson (talk) 23:20, 29 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

  • Sorry, but please. "Failure to resist a block"? For fuck's sake--we're not inside a Queensryche album here. Shane Harper, please look at the ANI thread. No need to comment. My apologies for the unexplained reverts and the ridiculous warnings you received: they were wrong. Drmies (talk) 01:17, 1 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of 2014 Summer Tour

edit

The article 2014 Summer Tour has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Hasn't even happened yet. Her other tours are at AfD--they are run-of-the-mill concert tours, promotional efforts. We're not talking about Zoo TV here.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Austin Mahone "Shadow" promotional single

edit

Hi Shane Harper 4 Life! Thanks for your updates to the Austin Mahone discography. I think it was good to add Til I Found You, and to removed the promotional singles from the main single list on The Secret EP page.

However, I am pretty certain that Shadow is a promotional single, considering the various Billboard articles that refer to it as a single, and the fact that it has a music video on the official Vevo page. I don't think the fact that it isn't included on the AllMusic list confirms that it's not a promotional single, that is not an official source. Didn't want to add it again without speaking to you first though, would not like to get into an editing war! How would you feel about adding it again as a promotional single?

Revert on Shakira discography

edit

About your really disgusting revert on Shakira discography page: The list was a featured article candidate when you made that revert. Now two users have made comments about the article in relation to its older version, hence you have successfully initiated mass confusion and doubled my work. About your issue with it being "vandalism/." Considering how poorly made and referenced the old list was, my new version is definitely far from "vandalism." Regarding the 10 column thing, please feel free to list it at the review page. Also, Wikipedia:DISCOGSTYLE states that " A limit of approximately 10 separate charts is suggested." I have listed 11 and 12 charts for albums and singles, respectively, which do not effect the layout in a negative way and only add to the reader's understanding. However, you were right about including certifications of only those countries listed, hence I am making changes shortly. I can see you receive a lot of warnings, and maybe you tried to do the right thing here. I apologise for my tone but just put yourself in my shoes and how embarrassed I must have felt when I realise users are actually reviewing an article I didn't even make. Any suggestions, any critique, will be appreciated at the review page, but not in the form of a direct reversal right? Even if you're still displeased with the list, please don't make another revert as the FL nomination may fail on the basis of instability and edit-warring.

I don't mean to be rude here but please realise that making really hasty reverts like this benefit no one and only result in a lot of wastage of time. Best of luck, --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 18:55, 14 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Stop

edit

Shane Harper 4 Life, please stop with the reverting. I don't know what point you are not getting, but if you notice, the new page I have made is much better than the old one, as it is evident on the Featured list nomination page. If you wanted me to remove CAPIF and ABPD certs, you could have peacefully pointed that out on the Nomination page, linked above. Please stop this. It is disheartening to find this is happening. What seems to be going on is that you're not happy I replaced the content as you wanted to revamp the list. Well I have done that, and the only entities who benefit from this are Wikipedia and the readers who visit the page, not you and I. Your reverts are not wanted, and you will surely get the article failed on terms of instability if you continue this. Please, it is a humble request. Stop. --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 15:24, 16 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Some advice / last warning

edit

Shane, Part of editing here is not only editing but communicating with everyone especially on talkpages,

  1. If you want a large chunk of an article removed you go to the talkpage,
  2. If you want to redirect an article you go to the talkpage etc etc,

It seems you simply blank and redirect articles but obviously don't discuss beforehand hence why you're being reverted,
Everyone so far is Assuming Good Faith but that can't go on forever and sooner or later someone's faith here is going to run out and by the looks of it fairly soon!,
So I'll end with this - Start discussing your edits appropriately and stop earning warnings otherwise I will personally report you myself for disruptive editing which trust me I don't want to do!,
Just take things slowly and work yourself up
If you need help I'm only a few clicks away!
Happy Editing (and Happy Halloween btw  )

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:RDMA 2006 logo.png

edit

Thank you for uploading File:RDMA 2006 logo.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

ATTENTION: This is an automated, bot-generated message. This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:04, 3 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:R5 (band) concert tours

edit

A tag has been placed on Category:R5 (band) concert tours indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 01:53, 5 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
