Speedy deletion of Qari Muhammad Farooq edit

A tag has been placed on Qari Muhammad Farooq requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Leonard(Bloom) 17:08, 14 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

List of Pakistanis edit

Hello. I have removed your addition to List of Pakistanis. The article has been deleted per WP:CSD#A7 three times this year. Due to this, it doesn't appear that it will have an article anytime soon, so it shouldn't have a place on the list for now. Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. Thank you. Apparition11|Complaints/Mistakes 16:00, 24 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

I know your last submission was before the above post, but I'd like to add that article has also been deleted per WP:CSD#A7 three times this year and judging by your talk page, you are well aware of that. Please don't continue to add links to deleted articles to lists. Thank you. Apparition11|Complaints/Mistakes 16:09, 24 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

The article for Qari Muhammad Farooq has been deleted 3 times [1]. The article for Muhammad Farooq has also been deleted 3 times and finally protected due to constant recreation (much like you're doing now) [2]. Again, Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. This person have been found to not warrant an article, so he doesn't warrant a spot on a list. Usually when red links consistently get added to a list, I would suggest to the person inserting them to write the article first, but this has been already been done 6 times, and all 6 times came to the same conclusion. If you have a conflict of interest and are closely associated with this person, then WP:PROMOTION may apply as well. If you feel I'm wrong, then please take it to the article's talk page where we can get more opinions, but it looks to me that this is a pretty clear cut case. Feel free to discuss it if you want to, but please do not continue adding these names. Apparition11 Complaints/Mistakes 16:43, 27 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

I feel that I should inform you that I've requested assistance with this matter at Wikipedia:Editor_assistance/Requests#Request_for_another_eye_on_a_list Apparition11 Complaints/Mistakes 17:37, 28 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

WP:Stand-alone lists clearly states that Selected lists of people should be selected for importance/notability in that category and should have Wikipedia articles (or the reasonable expectation of an article in the future). Given that articles for this person have been deleted 6 times, I think it's safe to say that there is no reasonable expectation of an article in the future. I also noticed that you added the name to Qari', which was reverted as spam within the hour. Please stop adding this name to lists. If you know of a reason it should be included, please share it. I have reverted the name several times stating policies and giving reasons, then you reinsert it without any explanation. Your current behavior is WP:DISRUPTIVE as you continue to add the same information despite protests and completely reject any attempts at discussion. Please stop this and discuss it. Communication edit

Hello. I see that you have recreated Muhammad farooq. In its current form, it certainly does not seem to be a WP:CSD candidate, so that clearly relieves all of my worries to adding it to lists (of course barring deletion, which doesn't appear to be a worry). I cleaned the article up a bit and tagged it requesting inline citations. I have also requested to have it moved to Muhammad Farooq to fix capitalization.

In the future, please try to be responsive to concerns and comments directed at you. Communication is key for Wikipedia to work. For example, I am not your enemy and have nothing against the subject of the article. When I pointed out my concerns as to why I did not think that this person belonged in the lists, had you replied that the person is clearly notable and provided sources, then I would have even helped you draft up a stub. Seemingly ignoring comments and resuming the same action is not at all appropriate. To build an encyclopedia, we must communicate our thoughts and intentions, as we are not mind readers. If you communicate more, you'll find yourself working with editors more instead of seemingly working against them. Thanks. Apparition11 Complaints/Mistakes 17:34, 3 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Evening Special edit

A tag has been placed on Evening Special requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

File source problem with File:Child Muhammad Farooq.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:Child Muhammad Farooq.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 18:27, 21 June 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MGA73 (talk) 18:27, 21 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Sockpuppet investigation edit

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Shaistakausar.pk, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Proposed deletion of Baba Qalandar Hussain edit

The article Baba Qalandar Hussain has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No reliable sources. The only source given is a blog. Google search only shows more blogs.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite edit

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 02:50, 21 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
