Disambiguation link notification for October 17
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2001 UCI Track Cycling World Cup Classics, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages James Carney and Christian Muller (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Cycling Race Report Add Possibility
Hey broseph,
I know you're on break and what not but I figure you'll see this at some point. For the cycling race report I was wondering if you could add the intergiro classification to the cycling race report so I can add it to the Giro for its respective pages (1989-2005) and since it was represented by a blue jersey. I would edit it by myself but I do not want to mess anything up. I saw that you were the first to edit the page so that's why I came to you.. If you can fix it that'd be great if not that's okay as well. Laters. Disc Wheel (Malk + Montributions) 04:13, 18 January 2013 (UTC)

- Sorry to be a bother again Severo. I'm adding the infoboxes to all the Vuelta pages and they used a jersey like this [File:Jersey black dotted.svg] for the 1988 & 89 editions. When I type "black polkadot" into the "mountains_color =" line it does not work. Do you have any idea why? Disc Wheel (Malk + Montributions) 20:49, 21 January 2013 (UTC)
- For [File:Jersey black dotted.svg], you'd need to enter "black dotted". Does this work? If not I'll take a look when I get my laptop back. Severo (talk) 15:43, 30 January 2013 (UTC)

Bike-to-Work Day
I've done some work on Bike-to-Work Day, an article you previously listed as a stub. Just wanted to get your ideas on if we filled it out enough that it's no longer in stub territory. Looking at the chart, I think it could be upgraded a bit. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks, Robin the Bobbin (talk) 12:16, 11 February 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for the barnstar
Hi, Severo! I was archiving my talk page when I found this barnstar you gave to me back in 2009. I didn't know about them, so I didn't reply to you. Time later I learned about WikiLove and stuff, so I thought that I had to thank you for appreciating my effort in categorizing pages. Good luck and have fun! --NaBUru38 (talk) 02:26, 4 March 2013 (UTC)
Current event
Is the current event parameter only used for when the race is in progress or the years race? I undone some of your recent edits because the majority of races show this years event, but you are an experienced editor, so I'm a bit confused. If it's only used for when its in progress, then it might as well be removed from one day races. BaldBoris 11:07, 21 April 2013 (UTC)
- Normally one week before, during and one week after. I thought it was in the usage guidelines of {{Infobox cycling race}} - I'm sure it was discussed somewhere, maybe WT:CYC. I noticed that these weren't being removed from the tracking category (Category:Infobox cycling race articles using param (current event)). Some of them are even redlinks with little chance of being blue linked soon so even less useful. Severo (talk) 13:58, 21 April 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks, I've cleaned up the category and will kept a eye on it. BaldBoris 18:41, 21 April 2013 (UTC)
Tagging list of Poles
I wonder if you'd be interested in my little current side project: ensuring that all individuals in List of Poles have a WPPOLAND talk template. This is so that this nice listing (Wikipedia:WikiProject Poland/Popular pages) would be more correct. I am currently working from top down, started yesterday with musicians. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 02:48, 30 April 2013 (UTC)
- PS. If you work on any sections, and I see you already did, please let me know which ones so I can cross them out of my to-do list. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 08:11, 1 May 2013 (UTC)
- My system just puts them alphabetically rather than by section so difficult to do - but if your to-do list is public, I could cross-check from there? Also I've kept all sportspeople tagged and in check for a while now :D Severo (talk) 11:55, 1 May 2013 (UTC)
- I was just doing them by section. Through if you have AWB, you may be able to deal with all of them much quicker them I, as I was just doing the regular - open page - check talk page for assessment - add and asses if needed. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 12:16, 1 May 2013 (UTC)
- The list making is a little more complex as I use two tools. First I use AWB to pick out links from the page. Of course, not all of those are relevant so I created a list using CatScan2 of pages in the first five levels of the category treet of Category:Polish people where the talk pages don't transclude {{WikiProject Poland}}. Compare these and you have what looks like a decent list and can use AWB to add them without problem. Troubles are that AWB doesn't put in the WPPOLAND template in a particularly nice position (although I'm sure I could find some way around that, but I'd take some time to work it out) and AWB's listmaking can only handle 5000 pages, although the first five levels of Category:Polish people contain more than 5000 articles. Severo (talk) 21:14, 1 May 2013 (UTC)
- Ah, so you are working not with the List of Poles, but with the category? Excellent, that was my second phase :) --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 02:02, 2 May 2013 (UTC)
- For now, both. The trouble is with categories is they bring up false positives so they all need to be checked before tagging anyway... Severo (talk) 06:47, 2 May 2013 (UTC)

Stefan Nimke
Is there a reason why you've removed the "Cyclists at the 2012 Summer Olympics" category from this article? I was going off information from the 2012 Olympics website - http://www.london2012.com/athlete/nimke-stefan-1114731/ Sorry if I made a mistake.Red Fiona (talk) 15:23, 14 May 2013 (UTC)
- He didn't take part. I think the category is only for people who actually took part, rather than were reserves etc (although there could have been a discussion about that somewhere before that I've completely missed). Severo (talk) 16:42, 14 May 2013 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (File:2013 UCI Track Cycling World Championships logo.jpg)
Thanks for uploading File:2013 UCI Track Cycling World Championships logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:55, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
Andrey Kashechkin photo? Would you lend your feedback on which should be used?
Hi - I just edited Andrey Kashechkin to include an image in the infobox, and it's of him in Astana team colors, but is a six-year old image! There are, I think, five images of "Kash" in wikimedia commons we could draw on: the one Astana shot and then four Lampre pics. The Lampre ones are higher-resolution and one of them is quite well-composed imo, but of course Kash no ride for dem nomore! Can you help me on Kash's talk page discover consensus: should we use the old Astana image, or a nicer, newer Lampre image, even though he's not on Lampre anymore?
-
This is my preferred infobox image of Kash
-
The only Astana-image of Kash I found in WMC, but old...
-
This is another Lampre image of Kash
-
Meh
-
Head-up! (see 1814)
Let me know your thoughts! Grazie! Azx2 19:05, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
- Saw your reply on the article talk page - thanks. My only question is after cropping, would the image be uploaded to commons to replace the original, or uploaded as a new version of it, and if so, how? I'm concerned not to make a mess of anything in doing so. Cheers. Azx2 18:13, 16 July 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for your help on this. New version of Lampre photo is now main photo on Kash's page. Cheers. Azx2 22:37, 18 July 2013 (UTC)
Request to take part in a survey
Hi there. I would very much appreciate it if you could spend ~2 minutes and take a short survey - a project trying to understand why the most active Wikipedia contributors (such as yourself) may reduce their activity, or retire. I sent you an email with details, if you did not get it please send me a wikiemail, so that I can send you an email with the survey questions. I would very much appreciate your cooperation, as you are among the most active Wikipedia editors who show a pattern of reduced activity, and thus your response would be extremely valuable. Thanks! --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 12:46, 22 July 2013 (UTC)
It may take a few minutes from the time the email is sent for it to show up in your inbox. You can {{You've got mail}} or {{ygm}} template. at any time by removing the
RFC Levi Leipheimer images - 2013 rationalization possible or necessary?
Hi - you historically were a major contributor to the article Levi Leipheimer. Acknowledging you are taking break from editing wikipedia or otherwise not as active as before, and I am not sure what is your current degree of interest in the subject, but if any, would you please check the article talk page and provide feedback on the possibility or even necessity (if any) of rationalizing image selection and layout for the article? It would be most appreciated, even if it only requires a few mins. Your previous help w/ image selection for Andrey Kashechkin was appreciated too, btw. Thanks. Azx2 16:20, 9 August 2013 (UTC)
November 2013
Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to 2012 UCI Track Cycling World Championships may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.
- List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

Cyclists
Hi. Thanks for your help in re-cat'ing the cyclists into male/female. I've created lots more parent categories for each country now. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 14:59, 29 December 2013 (UTC)
- No problems. I will do as much as I can while I have the time now, as I may not get much more time in the next few months. Hopefully I will finish them all before I run out of time. Severo (talk) 16:07, 29 December 2013 (UTC)
Team Hitec Products
Hello Severo. See my response at WP:RMTR. What would you think of an alternative like 'Team Hitec Products'? Also, the contact information on the team's website identifies it that way. The Facebook page is at http://www.facebook.com/TeamHitecProducts. Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 02:16, 16 January 2014 (UTC)

dmy dates
Hi Severo. I use them on non-US articles, as per the English/Euro format for dates. US articles have the mdy date format. It can vary for Canada and Australia/NZ, but I tend to stick to dmy for all of them too. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 20:18, 16 January 2014 (UTC)
- Yep, should be fine. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 18:14, 17 January 2014 (UTC)
"Jan" Maas
You changed the page "Jan" Maas back to Johannes Maas. In racing circles he was know as Jan, which is the common nickname for Johannes. Please document that he was know as Johannes before you change the page again. รัก-ไทย (talk) 13:19, 2 February 2014 (UTC)
- I'm not actually fussed about what his name was. There is clear consensus on the talk page which you are ignoring. If you'd like to move it, you will need to make the case on the talk page first. Severo (talk) 13:54, 2 February 2014 (UTC)
