Conflict of interest edit

Hi - you created the draft I mentioned above about Oriental Dreamworks, and have edited multiple articles to add assertions about that company. Please read COI and PAID - there are certain steps you have to take to declare any connection you have with that company, and you should put draft articles through AfC. The content you put in the draft isn't ready for publication as an article - take a look at WP:FIRST to learn more about creating articles, and see V for why content should be supported by reliable sources. Thanks GirthSummit (blether) 09:42, 30 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Puss in Boots (2011 film) into List of unproduced DreamWorks Animation projects. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa (talk) 13:28, 30 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Dinosaurs in Jurassic Park edit

Hello. I've reverted your additions at Dinosaurs in Jurassic Park again. The article's focus is on notable animals that have been covered in reliable sources. I've seen no evidence that any of the Camp Cretaceous animals are noteworthy (please see here). I see no point in listing these dinosaurs in the table of appearances if there's nothing else to say about the animals. Real-world info would be ideal, but that doesn't seem to exist for these dinosaurs.  AJFU  (talk) 21:27, 19 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Yes, Camp Cretaceous is part of the Jurassic Park storyline. That doesn't automatically make its dinosaurs notable. Can you provide any reliable sources to prove that they are? Simply appearing in something is not noteworthy. Like I said, the article's focus is on real-world info, and there doesn't seem to be any for the Camp Cretaceous animals. Furthermore, Smilodon is not a dinosaur and is not commonly mistaken for one. It clearly shouldn't be here.

The entire Allosaurus section is unnecessary. There's nothing of substance, no real-world info. Just a few sentences describing its brief role in the films. We don't need a separate section for this.

I suggest you read this, and if you disagree, please feel free to discuss. In the meantime, the longstanding version of the article should be restored while contested changes are being discussed.  AJFU  (talk) 18:52, 8 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

It's unfortunate that you spent so much time working on this, but that's not a good reason to keep it. We don't allow a disputed edit to remain in an article just because someone spent a lot of time working on it.

The article doesn't take canonicity into consideration. It's primarily about how the dinosaurs were created for the films. Story details are unimportant and largely absent from the article.

Yes, Camp Cretaceous does introduce a few new dinosaurs. That doesn't mean they're notable, and you have yet to provide any sources to prove me wrong. Simply appearing is not enough. The "Other creatures" section does contain some mere appearances, but I think there's potential to expand that. I don't think the same can be said for the Camp Cretaceous dinosaurs.

Disputes are settled through talk pages. If you still disagree, then please explain why, either here or at the article's talk page.  AJFU  (talk) 16:11, 7 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
