Goro (Mortal Kombat) edit

This is a continuation of a discussion begun here.

This appears to concern this revert, which I made recently during a WP:Huggle session. My concerns had to do with WP:NPOV, MOS:NOTED, and with unencyclopedic language in general. I would have made that clearer, but Huggle does not provide a facility for custom edit summaries.

  • Describing "Mortal Kombat (1995)" as "the original cinematic masterpiece" violated WP:NPOV.
  • Saying "It is also worth noting that Goro's penis and testicles are apparently rock hard" flouted MOS:NOTED.
  • Phraseology such as "pummeling the concrete blob of Goro's shaft and testes" is unsuited to a scholarly or encyclopedic register.

Also, your citation of [Mortal Kombat (1995) as a supporting source was unclear. I'm guessing from the unmatched opening square bracket there that you might have intended to supply an external link to a web-based source, but I'm left wondering what that source might have been. I see that the content removed by my revert included a direct quote -- please note that WP:V requires that a verifiable supporting source be specified for all direct quotes.

I hope that clarifies things for you a bit.
