My recent edit

My recent edit regarding Scottish Independence Pollingis factual. The sample size was 1008, however the outcome in the Data in question 1 was reflected in Question 2 of "Should Scotland be an indepenant country?". It is stated in the data that only people who answered 6-10 on Question 1 is counted in the Percentage Calculations. So as such, the percentage calculations on the Wikipedia Page reflect this total number of people and not that of the sample size.

Having the sample size of 1008 but using the percentages from Q2 in the Data gives false information that the percentages are of that total when it is not.

Clarification, please

Could you explain this removal? The contributor did in fact provide a source. Did you misclick, or...? DS (talk) 19:33, 23 January 2021 (UTC)

Hello DS, the reason was the text link and the lack of upper and lower case. In retrospect, however, you can also see it as a beginner's mistake. What do you mean? Regards --Serols (talk) 11:43, 24 January 2021 (UTC)
You reverted an edit, describing it as advertising/self-promotion, and left the user a chastising note saying not to do that again. It may not have been optimally formatted, but the user did supply a source; the suitable thing to do would have been to fix the formatting rather than to revert it and chastise the user. I strongly recommend an apology. DS (talk) 14:27, 24 January 2021 (UTC)
Hello DS, thank you for paying attention. I left a comment on his talk page. Regards --Serols (talk) 16:36, 24 January 2021 (UTC)

Chad Johnson

Hi Serols. I noticed you did one of the reverts of the removals on the Chad Johnson (television personality) article. Whoever is doing that is not stopping. I looked at the history and it looks like it's the same person under at least two accounts and some anonymous IP addresses too, doing the same removals. They also threatened me with legal action on their talk page. I'm not worried about legal threats (I actually had a laugh about that) but I don't know how to get them to stop removing sourced things from the article. Thought you could help, maybe? thank you. Wes sideman (talk) 19:02, 1 February 2021 (UTC)

Hello Wes sideman, admin ~ ToBeFree semi-protected the artricle until 01.05.2021, so that only autoconfirmed users can edit it. If you notice such changes afterwards, please contact me. Best wishes --Serols (talk) 08:29, 2 February 2021 (UTC)
Thanks Serols. I think I overreacted a little and posted on the talk pages of multiple editors. The guy posting all that stuff also named a real name and named one of his accounts after the place where that person works. The person he named and threatened wasn't actually me, and that stuff has already been hidden by an administrator (except for his account name) but it did make me worry that the stalker was now going after someone in real life, thinking they were me. Please don’t do that again. There hasn’t been an IB on that page for 8 or 9 years, a message asking people not to add one, and an ongoing RfC on the talk page. Added Lego Ninjago season 15: Seabound

Excuse me? But you've been deleting my edits on the TV series called Lego ninjago: Season 15, Seabound. I have checked Wikifandom multiple times and it is confirmed that there will be a Season 15 called Seabound and it is based off the water ninja Nya and the water amulet on Wojira's head. You sent me 2 warnings about this and said I was using unconstructive material to edit. You said if I keep doing it I'll be blocked from editing!? So your saying because I am adding facts to an article you'll block me from doing that? If your an actually person please stop!

Edits on Name Change

Hi, regarding the name change in the article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiruvaikuntam , I believe my actions were an effort to revert vandalism done on the page by Tamil Nationalists/Revisionists who changed the name of the place SriVaikuntum to Tiruvaikuntum, when both the official as well as the common name of the place is Srivaikuntam. If you still doubt my edits, kindly suggest me a parameter, by which I can prove Srivaikuntam is the Commonname(as well as official name) of the place. Thanks. Samudra95 (talk) 08:11, 15 March 2021 (UTC)

Hello Samudra95 only changing the name is the wrong way, the article name is binding. The correct way would be to create an new article with the new name (source required) and to redirect the old one to the new one. Regards --Serols (talk) 08:25, 15 March 2021 (UTC)

Aether theories

What is your physics background to revert my changes to Aether theories? Explain to me why it isn't ok to remove the dubious sections that I have removed from the article. 77.3.233.209 (talk) 12:04, 21 March 2021 (UTC)

Hello 77.3.233.209, please do not delete entire sections without appropriate sources, please use the article talk page. --Serols (talk) 12:08, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
Honestly, you gotta have a look at who added this nonsense to the page in the first place. They've "established facts" here by adding it to the page with no one watching and removing them now you require to cite sources, but the problem is that they are so oddly specific false claims that you will not find a source addressing exactly these misconceptions, other than for the quantum vacuum claim (which is common enough that people have written articles about it https://www.physicsforums.com/insights/misconceptions-virtual-particles/ ). You would have to cite a 600 page textbook on GR, a 600 page book on QFT and a book on Bohmian mechanics / Pilot waves apparently and point out that no where in these books will you see the claims backed up or the connection to aether theories made. It is just unfounded. Do you understand the problem? Nowhere will you find statements saying directly that the claims made here are wrong (even though they clearly are to anyone who has studied this). You didn't answer the question regarding physics background so I assume you have no background and are just reverting because it's a large edit. The sections should be removed for now and the person who wants to readd them should cite sources. 77.3.233.209 (talk) 12:27, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
The original claims don't have a reliable source. And this nonsense has been in the article for a decade, 2012. Someone tried to delete it in 2013 and sure enough some guy who just counts characters thought removing many characters must be vandalism so reverted it. Physicists don't have time to engage in edit wars on wikipedia all day. Only crackpots have that time. You end up with an article contain false information for almost TEN YEARS. Just because you think it's better to have more characters in the article than having less. 77.3.233.209 (talk) 12:38, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
I am tracing back the particular false section about the quantum vacuum to the original creation of the article in 2008. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Aether_theories&oldid=202913269#Aether_and_quantum_mechanics ("It has been suggested that this seething mass of virtual particles may be the equivalent in modern physics of a particulate aether.") There are no sources for the claim, no textbook or paper will back this up. This is just a popscience misunderstanding of the topic. The burden of proof can't be on people disproving misunderstandings. A source like a textbook or paper cannot preemptively address every possible misconception someone might gain from it. What they can do is write articles like Arnold Neumeier did linked above which wikipedia does not consider reliable source. If you accept for the sake of argument that this section is indeed wrong, how is this section going to disappear from the article then? 77.3.233.209 (talk) 12:48, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
