Hi. I've procedurally closed your RfD nomination at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2017 February 7#Maui (Samoan mythology) as what you appear to be requesting is the move of Ti'iti'i to Maui (Samoan mythology). This is generally beyond the scope of RfD. You're welcome to start a requested move, see WP:RM#CM. Millenia and years from now

Hey Serendipodous!

I didn't realize there was one table that included pre 12,000 CE years (astronomical events). All the other tables seem to start at 12,000 (12,017) if one were to take the label "Ten thousand years from now" at face value. In any case -- it's cool that there is a page that coalesces far future events like this. I was thinking about maybe starting a "Futurist Club" in my area for occasional coffee / meetups.

On using Wiki (was just reading your user profile): I agree -- if there was a local mentoring/Wiki group I would attend, as I have made some minor edits here and there, but have always had the intention of getting in deeper, mastering the formatting codes/markup, and be able to participate in some of the moderation. I frequently try to convince people on the value of having an account, and contributing occasionally / at least becoming familiar with some of the basic fundamentals of how Wikipedia works (there are so many misconceptions of what "notability" requires, accuracy and reliability and so many other topics.)

Gliese 710 in the far future

With the new Gaia data, Gliese 710 will be passing much closer than 1 LY to the Sun. Cut-and-paste moves

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give 3500 (song) a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. @Redrose64: I know. But the signature is not identical. The underline is thinner. Maybe this user wants that, maybe not. I try to come up with a string that generates an identical signature. —Anomalocaris (talk) 01:13, 9 December 2017 (UTC)

For me, the underlines for all three sig versions are the same thickness; it might be one of those things that varies between browsers - I use Opera 36. But the two newer sig versions have underline colours which are different from the original, although the same as each other. The only way I know of making them the same as before is to use a declaration like text-decoration:inherit; in the style= attributes, as I do in my signature - but even the effect of that varies between browsers.

@Redrose64: My OS is Windows 7. My usual browser is Mozilla Firefox and my usual skin is MonoBook. I checked Chrome, Explorer, and Firefox with all six skins, comparing 3 types of links:

  • Firefox displays the normal and internally bolded links underlined thin and the externally-bolded links underlined thick.

Natural satellites list

I'm not entirely sure what you intended to do with your edits... Could you explain to me what you're doing? My edit included a list of minor planet moons for easy reference, although those were removed when your edit only talked about dwarf planets. 2010

Hi. The close of 2010 (which was analyzed, looking at the closer's contributions, in well under one minute) seems ripe for a move review. Some of the oppose comments were based on WP:SUBTITLE, which the closer may not have understood was inaccurate and irrelevant to this RM. The concept that Wikipedia would name this prominent film by its promotional title doesn't seem encyclopedic to me, and I doubt that it's the most common name for the film. Anyway, a very good nomination candidate, and thank you for bringing up the obvious flaw in the present name. If you do a move review I'll be there to add my "involved" comment. List of commonly used taxonomic affixes

Dear Serendipodous, I have made some changes to List of commonly used taxonomic affixes. As you have contributed extensively to this list (and will probably do in the (near) future), I have some questions/remarks. In some words, multiple diacritics are used within one word, e.g. άκάνθά, κέράs, άρχάίος, or Latin genitive cases are presented written in Greek letters, like γίγας, γίγαντίς, or diacritical marks are missing, like βροντη, άρχος, or put on the wrong letters, like βράχυς, βράχιων, or long and short vowels are confused, like στωμά, θερ.
