I see that you are listed as a participant in the WikiProject Melbourne. If you are a Melbourne resident I would appreciate your views on the suggested Meetup in March . Image use

Hi Sendreplyfwd. Thanks for your work at Haileybury, Melbourne, it looks like a fine article. I need to ask about some image copyright issues about, well probably all the images you've uploaded for this article. You seem to have said that the images can be used for any purpose, but you also say "Property of Haileybury College Melbourne, Used with permission.". Unfortunately there is no confirmation that the copyright holder (presumably the school) has given permission for the images to be used, but the statement you have used about permission causes another problem. Images used 'with permission' are speedily deleteable under WP:CSD#I3. These images need to be released (and this needs to be verifiable by people like me) under a copyright licence which is compatible with Wikipedia's copyright policy - for example the GFDL or the public domain. So, I'd like to ask that you clarify why you think the school has released these images under a compatible copyright licence, and clarify what you mean by 'with permission'. Fair use rationale for Image:Gembrook1.gif

I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box.
